President Trump is Honoring God and His People

Today, we are sharing some comments by President Trump at the Faith and Freedom Coalition 2019 Conference.

“It’s wonderful to be back here with so many friends, and patriots, pastors, rabbis, and a record number of students. Thank you all for the tireless work that your steadfast support and your daily prayers just — it’s incredible what it’s done.  And just keep them coming. Very important. Keep them coming.

“We’re in an interesting time in our country’s history and we’re doing great.  It’s very fragile. You know, it’s one vote. It’s one Justice. It’s one little thing and it can all change.  You have to be very hard, very vigilant. You have to go out and vote. November 3rd is a big date next year. Mark it down.

“But I want to thank you for your voice, your time, and your energy.  And to knock on doors and make calls and educate voters and mobilize your fellow Americans, because, with your help, we will soon once again win a historic victory for life, for family, for faith, and for freedom.

“After just two and a half years, our country is soaring, our communities are thriving, our economy is booming perhaps like never before.  We may have the greatest economy in the history of our country. And we are once again defending and promoting our great American values.

“We are fighting for all Americans and we are embracing the faith community.  We are embracing it like it hasn’t been embraced in many, many years. You know that. We’re greatly uplifting our nation.  When I asked for your support in 2016, Americans of faith were under assault. But the shameful attempt to suppress religious believers ended the day I took the oath of office. And now, by the way, because of what we did with respect to the Johnson Amendment — you know what I’m talking about — our leaders, like all of the people that have been so supportive — our pastors, our ministers, our priests, our rabbis — all of our religious leaders — we’re allowed to speak again.  We’re allowed to talk without having to lose your tax exemption, your tax status, and being punished for speaking. And the people that we most want to hear, our great clergy, is now able to speak without fear of retribution.

“We’re cherishing our nation’s religious heritage once again.  My administration has taken historic action to protect religious liberty. We are protecting the conscience rights of doctors, and nurses, and teachers, and groups like the Little Sisters of the Poor.  We’re with them.

“We’re preserving our country’s vital tradition of faith-based adoption.  And we are proudly defending the sanctity of life.

“And this could all change very quickly.  Just remember. We’ve done things that nobody thought possible.  We’ve done things that are so good and so righteous and also so fragile.  The wrong person in office — in this office, right here — can change it very quickly.

“We’re building a society that values the limitless potential of every person.  And we’re strengthening the bonds that tie us together in the wondrous tapestry of creation.

“With your help, our nation will prosper in the fullness of faith and the glory of liberty.  Our families will be strong. Our children will be free. Our country will be safe. And America will forever remain one proud nation, under God.

“Together, with the love, the prayers, and devotion of everyone in this room, and the millions and millions of patriots all across our land, we will make America great again for all Americans — greater than ever before.

“Above all else, we know this: In America, we don’t worship government; we worship God.

“Thank you, God bless you, and God bless America.” (President Donald J. Trump)

“Blessed is the people whose God is the Lord; the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.” (Psalm 33:12; JUB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Pray for President Trump today.
  • As you read the excerpts from his speech above, please pray through each item of national concern that he mentions. The tide is turning in many areas of our government and society, but we cannot be complacent. We must press in until the enemy is entirely pushed back.
  • There is much more to pray for than this. If you click on the links in the introduction of the comments and below, you will see many other national matters for prayer.

Today’s decree:

A nation is blessed whose God is the Lord!
