Say to the Worthy One, “Come!”

There was a sound heard in Jesus’ day, but men couldn’t identify the sound and they missed it. They heard the sound of John the Baptist. They heard the voice crying out, but they couldn’t get it. You have to hear the sound of the Spirit. You have to hear the voice of God saying, “Come to Me!” You must hear Him. You must hear the sound of heaven drawing you. You must hear the sound of His Presence. You must get to the place where nothing matters, but the voice, the sound. You must get there. It must drown out all other sounds in your life – all the cares, all of your other desires, all of your passions. Everything else has to be brought down to where the loudest thing you hear is His voice, saying, “Come, come, come!”

“As you bring forth the sound of heaven,” says the Lord, “I will be able to fill the atmosphere. It will not be what you say. It will be who you are! You will no longer wonder what it means not to be able to minister or to move because of the weighty Presence. You will know my weighty Presence,” He says. “You will know My Glory.”

“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ Let those who hear this say, ‘Come!’ Let those who are thirsty come! Let those who want the water of life take it as a gift.” (Revelation 22:17; GWT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • You must ask Him to come.
  • You must create an atmosphere for His Spirit.
  • You must give Him worth!
  • You must value Him above your next breath.
  • You must cry out until the sound of heaven reaches Earth. You must cry out until your voices are one with His. You must cry. You must cry. You must cry out for Him!

A prayer you can pray:

Come! Come! You must come to us, God! You must come! We must have You! Spirit of God, come. We plead with You. Come. Let the voice of many waters be heard in this place. Come and build a house for Your Glory. Let us hear the sound of heaven. Come! Holy Spirit, come into this place with fire. Fill the atmosphere! Worthy One, come. You are worthy. You, alone, are worthy. We exalt Your Name and say, only You are worthy of our worship, Lord. Come. How can we live without You? You are the One that gives us breath and life. We can’t even worship You without Your Holy Spirit giving us the breath to do so! We don’t want anything but You. Come to us! Come to us! We will cry out for You! We will not stop until we have You! We must have Your Presence, Jesus. Sweet Jesus. Sweet, sweet Lord and Savior, come. Come in the power of Your Holy Spirit. Come to us. Come, come come. In Jesus’ magnificent Name, come. Amen.

Today’s decree:

We will not stop crying out for His Presence in this nation until He has filled it with His Glory!

Praying Through Unthinkable Tragedies

“The massacres in El Paso and Dayton [and also recently, in Gilroy, CA] are unthinkable tragedies for the victims, their families, and America. But they are snapshots of what happens in a nation when the ‘foundations are destroyed’ (Psalm 11:3). Having been built upon biblical morality and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, America has progressively departed from God, removed Him from every sphere of culture, and replaced Him with secularism that leads to death (Proverbs 14:12). The culture’s reaction to faith following an earlier shooting illustrates that even prayer is being mocked in an increasingly secular society. But prayer is definitely part of the answer, and giving God His proper place in our lives and in every sphere of society is essential.

Biblically speaking, when tragedy strikes, the first line of action is prayer! Even if it is a short cry, ‘God, please help!’ ‘Call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me’ (Ps 50:15; see also: Ps 55:16; 86:7; 91:15; 118:5; and the warning: Prov 1:22-33). America is in deep trouble. Gun control is not the answer! Turning to God as a people is. So is bringing up our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Eph 6:4); preaching the whole counsel of God from our pulpits without fear of controversy or rejection (2 Tim 4:1-4); educating our children, high school, and college students from a clear, unequivocal biblical worldview (like the education our Forefathers received); public insistence that leaders in every sphere of cultural influence (churches, families, government, education, entertainment, the media, business — see brief video by Os Hillman) promote God and righteousness and refrain from practicing or approving anything God declares to be evil (Dt 28: all). It is electing and appointing God-fearing men and women to public office and positions of leadership who possess and demonstrate biblical knowledge and wisdom. It is choosing those who lead clean lives that affirm their profession of faith. Only such will curb the proliferation of evil we are seeing. Taking away people’s freedoms and right to self-defense by compromising or abolishing the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution would only serve to accommodate future tyranny. Ultimately, we must pray, pray, pray (2 Chr 7:14; Is 56:7; 1 Tim 2:1-8). (Tasteful videos and scripts give glimpse into the lives of the victims in El Paso and of the victims in Dayton.)

Evangelical and governmental leaders concur that the root causes of the (recent) massacres have to do with the sickness that lies within the American soul. Southern Evangelical Seminary President Dr. Richard Land said: ‘[G]un control is too simple an answer. It is analogous to putting a Band-Aid on a severed artery.’ As he notes, these mass shootings are symptoms and eruptions telling us that there is a subterranean river of spiritual and emotional slime running underneath our society. They are problems of the heart and they are problems of the soul: ‘Fatherlessness, the failure of our inner cities, racism, identity politics … the mindless glorification of violence in our media and entertainment industry … the systematic disrespect and mocking of police officers…’ He says it’s up to Christians and the church to lead the way!’” (Rev. Pierre Bynum)

We must pray and see the Lord intervene for us.

“For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.” (2 Thessalonians 2:7; NIV)

A prayer you can pray:

“Lord, make your mercy and grace known to the individuals, families, and communities of El Paso and Dayton, the victims of these senseless and evil massacres. Lord, only you can give the comfort they need in this dark and difficult hour and the help they need in the days, weeks, and years ahead. Heal the wounded! Salve their spirits, minds, and souls. Draw them to yourself in this moment of desperate sorrow, confusion, and weakness. Grant them the peace only you can give. And help your people aggressively to pray, to consecrate themselves to you, and to labor to see America transformed by turning wholeheartedly to you! Draw us to yourself, who alone can save and heal our land. Guide our leaders, Lord. Do not allow opportunistic and evil politics to make use of this tragedy. Rather, grant our elected leaders repentance to understand that the hatred and anger that they display every day has had its own role in producing division and violence. Grant us repentance, O God! (Ex 32:29; 2 Kgs 21:16; 24:3-4; Is 31:4; 40:1; 64:1; Jonah 3:5; Mt 5:22; Jn 6:44; 14:16; Ro 12:1-2; 2 Cor 12:9

“Lord, while politicians attempt to fix what they cannot fix, let the body of Christ arise to do what must be done: evangelize our communities, speak the truth in love in the public square that will correct godless ideologies that can only make things worse, seek to provide mentors for fatherless boys, and promote the virtues of marriage and intact families. (Eph 4:14-16; 2 Th 3:1-3; 1 Tim 6:20; 2 Tim 3:16; 2 Tim 4:1-4; 1 Peter 2:13-16)” Thank you, Jesus, for all of these things, amen.

Today’s decree:

God will answer us and heal our land, as we pray and give the Lord His proper place in our lives and culture!

Building a Wall of Fire Around Your City!

“In the wake of more mass shootings in cities across the nation, there is a rising anxiety and uncertainty among many, wondering if anyone is truly safe. Big city violence is now coming to small, rural towns and fears are mounting. Whether these attacks come from terrorists, home-grown criminals, or desperate prodigals with a point to prove, violence is on the rise. But, now is the not the time to give in to this fear! Rather, we must press into prayer and raise up even more local prayer watches to blanket our cities with intercession.

The powers of the air recognize that the prayers of the saints have been getting through to the throne! Our intercession has been filling the bowls and stirring heaven to come to the earth and the enemy knows it. The reality is that God is about to pour out His glory across the earth, bringing the true FEAR OF THE LORD upon this land and Hell is running scared. All the powers of darkness are about to be exposed for what they truly are. They are making a last ditch effort to release a demonic TERROR in hopes that we will be distracted and give in to a fear that is not of God. Where the Fear of Lord is heaven-sent to awaken our spirits to the majesty and holiness of God, the Terror of Hell seeks to destroy our faith and kill our purpose and destiny. What we see happening in many of these horrific attacks is the devil’s preemptive attack to the Fear of the Lord that is coming. But, we can do something about it.

We must stand by those who are suffering from these attacks with our love, support, and prayers. But, we must also take our positions in the watch towers of our own communities for the days ahead. We must take the offense in securing our cities for the Kingdom by praying with others in agreement for the spiritual and natural protection of the Lord. Our corporate alignment is key if we are to secure our cities and establish spiritual walls of protection that the enemy can’t penetrate. We must pray for God’s presence to become a wall of fire around our communities and for the fear of the Lord to permeate every street in our neighborhood.

No government can adequately protect us. No legislation can guarantee our safety. Not even a President can provide the protection that is truly needed from heaven’s perspective. When we humble ourselves together before the throne of grace and lift up His banner over our communities in oneness of heart and mind, our boundaries will be secure from the demonic forces that seek to steal, kill, and destroy. I urge you to join with other believers around you and BUILD THAT WALL OF FIRE AROUND YOUR CITY!” (Wanda Alger, IFA Field Correspondent)

“‘And I will be to her a wall of fire all around,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will be the glory in her midst.’” (Zechariah 2:5 ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer (Get the IFA Prayer Guide here.)

  • Lift up praise and worship over your city.
  • Declare your home and community to be dwelling places for the Lord’s Presence.
  • Call for unity in the church and oneness of spirit among spiritual leaders.
  • Disarm any plans of the enemy to cause harm or injury to people or property.
  • Declare that the light of Truth will dispel any darkness and expose the lies.
  • Speak God’s blessings and protection over transportation and communication lines.
  • Pray for the Word of God and message of the cross to be shared with power.
  • Thank God for His delivering power in defeating all His enemies.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, I magnify Your Holy Name over my city (name your city). Your Name is above every other name. I declare Your Lordship here. You are the one that strengthens the gates of protection over this city. Let the fear of the Lord reside here. Your Presence disarms the enemy and prevents any form of falsehood and deception from taking hold in any nook or cranny. Lord, make the spiritual leadership of my city one. It is where there is oneness that You command Your blessing. The enemy cannot penetrate a united front, covered by the blessing of the Spirit of God. Set righteous boundaries around this city. We renounce and cancel any threats of the enemy to cause harm to people or property damage. Let communications between demonic forces be confused and canceled. We counter negative words or curses spoken over this city with Your promises from Your Word. Lord, let the pastors and leaders grow in their awareness of Your Presence, which dispels darkness. Let those who oppose You encounter Jesus and have their hearts changed. Expose every counterfeit of the cross and let those that practice evil collide with the Truth and Life, which is Christ. Protect the innocent ones, especially the elderly and the young. Lord, be glorified in this city through Your beautiful Bride, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

The Lord will set his wall of fire all around our cities, if we will humble ourselves and pray!

A Series of “Waits” – Part 3

Becoming One in His Weighty Glory

There is another word for “wait” in Hebrew. It means “wait and become one together”. The picture of it is a braid. You take three strands and braid them together and you get the meaning of this word. You also see in a braid a strength that is multiplied many times over as you bring the three strands together. The concept is to be braided together with Him. Now, you have His heart. You have His mind. You have His strength. When you have waited with trust and with longing, you become one with Him and a deep connection to Him comes. You think His thoughts. You know His heart. You feel His passion for things. This is what causes congregations to change what they were doing when revival hits. It’s not that what they were doing was wrong, but they feel God’s heart moving in a different direction and they know they have to flow with that heartbeat.

The final word I heard, pronounced like the others, was not “wait”, but “weight”. He was saying, “Wait patiently, trusting that I will come to you. Wait for me with longing, so that when I come to You and we are together, and I can share My heart with You, You will experience My weighty Presence. The chabod of God. His Glory doesn’t come to the building or the programs. (There’s nothing wrong with programs, but they should be the result of what happens in the Glory.) The Glory comes on the people as His Presence fills the place. When the weighty Presence of God comes, it changes everything! Demons can’t handle His Presence. They will just cry out and leave. Read your Bible. That’s what happened. Deliverance happens. Miracles happen. Lives are changed. All because the Glory of the Lord comes. All because His people waited on Him.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31; KJV)

“Jesus said to her, ‘Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?’” (John 11:40; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Isn’t your heart bursting with desire for Him right now? Talk to the Lord about the Glory.
  • Invite Him into Your life in a deeper way. Desire to wait for Him until His weighty Glory falls.
  • Tell Him of this desire. Ask Him to fill your heart, your home, your church, your city, state and nation with His Glory.
  • Call for the Glory to be so heavy that even the lost notice it. Let it become so heavy that demons are squeezed out, the lost are pressed toward Him and the sick are healed in His Holy love and grace.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, there is a new phase coming to America. Your Glory is coming. It might not look like it right now. Things may seem very dark, with wickedness abounding, but Your Church is going to position itself to repent and wait on You until You fill us with Your Glory. The weighty, heavy, Glory of God is coming. You are seeking relationship, hearts that you can commune with. You want those You can hang out with—those you can talk with, walk with, drive with, just be with. When we get up in the morning, may we greet You with, “Good morning, Dad.” When we go to bed at night, let us say, “Good night, Father. I’ll see You in the morning. May You be the first thing on our hearts each day and the last thing on our hearts at night. Let Your Presence come to us in a new way. We thank You for Your heart. Fill us with Your Glory. Fill our homes with Your Glory as we wait on You there. Fill our churches with Your Glory, as we seek You together there. Let Your Glory flow out and all around us. Let it flood over our cities and states and nation. Let the Glory of the Lord be seen and felt tangibly in the land. Let the lost be drawn to You in the Glory. Let demons flee and set the captives free in the Glory. Let the sick be healed in the Glory. Kingdom advancing Glory come to America, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Lord, show us Your Glory!

A Series of “Waits” – Part 2
To Wait Longingly

The third word is to “wait longingly”. This word describes when we love Him so much that we will wait, because we are longing for Him. You know He is coming. When Moses had made the tent of meeting, the cloud of God’s Glory would come there and that was Moses’ way of knowing that God wanted to talk to him. All the people would watch, so fascinated by this cloud of Glory. Joshua would go into the tent with Moses, probably because Moses was mentoring him to be a leader some day. Afterward, Moses would leave, but Joshua would stay there. He wasn’t the one being spoken to by God, as far as we know, but he wanted to hang out in the Presence a little longer. The Bible never tells us anything that God said to Joshua in that tent. God’s point in recording this account is to show us that Joshua had become obsessed with a hunger for Him that became insatiable. He no longer waited patiently or with trust. He waited longingly for the Lord.

They say that David was a man after God’s heart. He built a tabernacle or tent next to the palace in Jerusalem to hold the Ark of the Covenant. He broke all the rules when he did that. He wasn’t supposed to put the ark in a tent and go in there. Only the high priests were supposed to do that once a year. However, because he knew God’s heart, God allowed him to be able to “live on the other side of the cross,” so to speak.

David built a table to put the ark on. He built it high enough and wide enough that he could crawl under it. It is said that David would lay there for hours under the ark in God’s Presence. This is the guy that said, “Better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere.” It wasn’t just a psalm. He meant that. He was saying, “I would rather live in the Lord’s Presence for one day than in a palace.” David longed for the Lord and for His Presence.

It is sad that there are some spiritual leaders that don’t spend as much as 15 minutes a day in the Presence of the Lord and in worship. They don’t enjoy soaking, listening. They are too busy with the ministry.

“O God, you are my God; early will I seek you: my soul thirsts for you, my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.” (Psalm 63:1; NKJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Set aside some time today to sit before Him. Here is some instrumental worship music to help you get into His holy Presence.
  • Position yourself to wait for Him. You may desire to sit, stand, walk around, kneel or lay down.
  • Once He shows up, let Him speak to you. Don’t be the first to speak.
  • Don’t leave until He does.
  • If you struggle with this, ask Him to help you.
  • Intercede for pastors and other Believers who have a hard time spending intimate, quality time with the Lord. Can you imagine how difference the nation would be if we did!

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, I long for You. Everything in me desires to be with You. As I put time aside today to seek You, would You come and meet me there. Even if You don’t, yet I will seek You. I will keep going, day by day, until finally that time of precious Presence will alight. Come, Holy Spirit. Come to me. Come and meet me in the secret place. Cause my heart to long for You more and more every day. May I be changed and make others hungry and thirsty for You, even as Moses’ relationship with You made Joshua hungry for You. Sometimes, I can’t get enough of Your Presence. Then, other times I act like I don’t need You. I will never understand this about our human nature. Fix this in me, Jesus. Cause my pastor and my family and friends to long for You like we never have before. Make this our reality. Our children will see it and long for You, too. Our grandchildren will watch us and want You, too. Change us and change our nation. Give us instructions for reaching the harvest around us. Show us how to expand Your Kingdom. Let it begin in the courts of the Lord. Amen.

Today’s decree:

May this nation long for Jesus as Joshua and David did!

A Series of “Waits” – Part 1

One day I was laying on my floor praying and I heard the Holy Spirit say to me, “Wait.” He said it five times. I have a love for word studies. Each time He said, “wait”, He said a different Hebrew word for “Wait”. When you read the Word, you don’t realize this, because all of those five words are translated as simply “wait”. I had studied all of those words.

I knew that the first time he said “wait”, it was the Hebrew word that meant “wait patiently”. It could mean wait patiently for a few hours, or 25 years, as in the promise He gave Abraham. We must learn to wait patiently. Some people can’t do that. King Saul couldn’t wait a week without offering the sacrifice. God had told him to wait for the prophet to offer the sacrifice, because kings weren’t allowed to do so in that time. Only priests and prophets could do so. Because he could not wait, and then usurped the anointing of another, God said, “You’re out. I’m looking for a man after My heart who can do what I tell him to do.” Do not forget the 500 were invited to wait in the upper room until the day of Pentecost would come. 380 of them couldn’t wait. Only 120 were able to wait for the Promise for the entire 10 days.

The second word for “wait” means “to wait with trust”. You are to place your trust in the person you are waiting for that they will show up. You have built a strong enough relationship with Him and you’ve spent enough time in His Presence that you have built up a trust with them.

“Those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not become weary.” (Isaiah 40:31; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Sit quietly and ponder the word “wait” as in “wait patiently”. Can you patiently wait until the Lord shows up?
  • Can you sit still at all without your mind wandering? Ask God for grace if you are struggling.
  • Ask God to grant you a grace to wait for Him – for His Presence, for His direction, for His intervention.
  • Repent if you have sinned in your not waiting.
  • Are you able to wait for Him, but struggle with trusting Him to show up? Is there something that has happened that has caused you to keep Him at a distance? Wait for Him and ask Him to minister to your heart over that area. He will.
  • Worship Him.

A prayer you can pray:

God, I will wait on You. I will sit and wait until Your Presence comes into the room. If I struggle, minister to the place where the struggle is coming from. The waiting will be worth it, to be there with You. If my mind wanders, help me to immediately realize it and focus back on You. Grace, grace, grace, to any inability in me to sit and wait patiently for You. I desire Your Presence. I need Your direction and intervention in some areas of my life. I long to experience a place of deeper rest and intimacy with You that only happens as I learn to wait on You. Forgive me when I have jumped the gun and acted out of impatience or impulsiveness. King Saul did that and was removed from his throne for it. It is a serious thing to act on what I feel is the right thing, instead of doing what You tell me to do. If you have told me to wait for You, then this is even more serious. Forgive me, Lord where I have violated Your direction. Minister to any area of my heart that has been wounded, causing me not to trust You. Heal me, Jesus, so I can enjoy Your Presence more than ever before. (Worship Him.) Amen.

Today’s decree:

We will wait for You until You come to us and to our nation, Lord!

Revivals Spring From His Presence

You can trace the Jesus Movement back to Berkeley, CA, to a man named Hubert Lindsey. They called him, “Holy Hubert.” That was his nickname on the UC Berkeley campus. At first, it was a mocking nickname. He would preach on the campus at Berkeley and the fire of the Holy Ghost fell on that campus. Kids started getting saved by the hundreds. Ministries were birthed out of that. He used to pray all night before he started preaching on the campus. He and his wife would walk the streets on the campus at Berkeley and pray and weep all night, saying, “God, give me this generation!” The Presence came. You know as well as I do that you can’t go to a college campus and start preaching to kids, and then start a movement just because you are there preaching. But when the Presence comes, when the hovering begins, then things begin to change. Why do you think soldiers and Pharisees and thousands of people walked for days to go hear John the Baptist? He was a weird guy preaching on the banks of the Jordan River, saying, “Repent, you bunch of sinners!” Then, he would baptize them in the water. Before the hovering came, those Pharisees and soldiers and all the rest didn’t care about God. However, John had an anointing from the Holy Spirit. The Presence of God came to that river bank.

“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.” (Mark 8:34-35; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Holy Hubert could be any one of us. If his story above ignited something in you wanting to be used of the Lord like that, tell Him so.
  • Where is the field the Lord would have you praying over? Is it a college or other school? Is it a neighborhood or an apartment complex. Is it an office building or public place? Let Him show you.
  • Intercede for that place God shows you to pray over. Let Him give you the scriptures, words, and strategy. Tell Him you will leave the results to him. You may have an infant in a stroller. Prayer walk. You may have little children. Take them with you and teach them to pray. Don’t let anything hinder you from fulfilling God’s call to intercede for great outpourings. Find a way to do what He asks you to do.
  • Cry out for the hovering Presence of God in that place. Cry out for the harvest of souls and transforming of lives.
  •  Ask God to raise up a whole generation of Holy Huberts, crying out for God’s Presence and the salvation of another generation.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, reading this story about Holy Hubert has stirred something in us. We long to see a generation come to you. The dark has gotten very dark and the light seems almost put out. How did this happen in such a short time? We must have Your holy Presence! We must have Your Presence fall on our churches, our campuses, our cities. We must have Your Presence in our businesses, our sporting events, and our government offices. We must have You, Jesus! Give us this generation! Show us where to go to pray and cry out for You until You show up! Holy Spirit, let us go into our communities and say, “You are welcome in this place.” Show us how to do this with all the normal stuff of life we have going on each day. Give us creative and Divine strategies. Grace us to fast and pray and even include our children in this. We cannot make You come, but we are going to fervently ask You to. We believe this is something You are leading us to do. Save the lost! Save this generation! Save them and transform them and build Your Church quickly. Raise up and send out a whole generation of Holy Huberts, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

God, give us this generation!

Where the Harvest Is

You know, the Church isn’t supposed to do all its work inside its walls. It’s supposed to get out there in the world and get to work expanding His Kingdom. He wants to use us to represent Him. There are people out there who won’t go to churches. Periodically, over the last 40 to 50 years, the Lord has raised up groups of Christians that minister to those in the marketplace. Full Gospel Businessmen was one of those. Aglow was another, which was raised up by women. Both of those groups held meetings in hotels or community centers or country clubs, places the unsaved might feel more comfortable. However, they didn’t hold back on sharing the message of the Gospel or in allowing the Holy Spirit to move. Real people, not professional ministers, would give their testimonies. They might be accountants, firemen, government leaders or educators, for example. So many people would respond to the invitations to get born again. They would get them filled with the Holy Spirit and they’d get slain in the Spirit. They would just explain what happened to them when they would get up off the floor! Thousands were saved through those movements. Then, they would funnel the new Believers into the churches to be discipled. It is a very effective plan. I’m not saying God will do things that way in this generation, but He always has a plan to get His people out into the marketplace where the harvest is.

“Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest?’ Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!” (John 4:35; NKJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Do you believe the words in John 4:35? They can be challenging.
  • Thank the Lord for His moves of grace to harvest in the past. Maybe you were part of one of them. Thank Him for that move.
  • Intercede now for Divine strategies to spring forth from members of the Body. Pray that ordinary people would not wait for their pastors to lead them outside the walls. Pray that each would believe they can go do this!
  • Cry out for the fire and grace of God to accompany us. We must have His Presence and His Glory and the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ Name!

A prayer you can pray:

God, we believe Your Word. We know John 4:35 and pray it often. Some of us remember that move of God where business people, housewives, and other non-clergy members went into the world with a Divine strategy. They shared their testimonies and preached the Gospel in hotels and country clubs, instead of inside churches. We have grown so comfortable inside our church walls. We have convinced ourselves that our gifts and talents are only for inside them. We are afraid to display the power of the Holy Spirit in the marketplace. But, Jesus did that. John the Baptist did it. The disciples did so, as well. Most revivalists throughout history preached in the open air. The Wesley brothers preached out where the people were, because the Anglican Church rejected them and wouldn’t let them inside their buildings. John Wesley started clinics for the poor and ministered to the sick that came there. Jesus, you have moved on campuses repeatedly throughout the centuries, drawing teens and twenty-somethings into the Kingdom. Put a fire in Your Church again to go to the highways and byways and draw in the lost! Grace us with the power of the Holy Spirit and Your Presence. We can’t do this for you. We must do this with You! Amen.

Today’s decree:

America’s harvest fields are ready for God’s people to reap!

The Power of Our Tears

“The Lord woke me up this morning with the word ‘tears’.

“I sat up in bed and He showed me a very vivid picture of a woman that was on her knees weeping and seemed to be in travail over the church in America. She was crying out much like we hear about when we read the prophet Jeremiah. When I walked around to the front of this woman, I noticed that her tears where beautiful and pure and I could almost feel the Lord’s delight in them. She was frantically digging in the soil in front of her. I was in shock when I noticed that as her tears fell to the ground they literally turned into seeds that begin to take root immediately. The Lord reminded me of Psalms 126:5-6 where it says, ‘Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.’

“As I’m having this vision, I sat back and said, ‘Lord what does this mean,’ because my mind began to race with excitement and ideas. I heard the Holy Spirit with a soft voice say ‘I still believe in my bride. I still believe in her beauty.’ I sat there and began to weep, myself, as I thought about all the intercessors that I have known that spend hours a day in prayer over the church in America. The Father still believes in His church. The seeds of the tears of the saints are beginning to take root.

“When you study tears, you find there are three main scientific discoveries about them:

  1. When a person cries, toxins that are in the body begin to be pushed out.
  2. The body releases its own immune boost and cells that are sick begin to receive healing and not just in the eyes (one part of the body), but as a whole.
  3. Last but not least, there have been recorded accounts of dead cells becoming alive again.

“What does this mean for the church?

  1. As we weep again, toxins (sin) is being pushed out.
  2. Healing begins to happen in the entire body.
  3. Dead cells become alive again. (Harvest.) Sound familiar?

“‘If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.’ (2 Chronicles 7:14; NASB)

“I believe that we are about to see a release of what I can only refer to as the ministry of tears in the body again. That will lead us into one of the greatest harvests we have ever seen. Beloved, not just a harvest of the lost, but an awakening in the church again. This is not just an encouraging vision, but a call to action. A call to once again pray, fast, and weep. A call to walk in a lifestyle of holiness, mission, and identity.” (Russell Wood)

“Blow the trumpet in Zion; consecrate a fast; call a solemn assembly; gather the people. Consecrate the congregation; assemble the elders; gather the children, even nursing infants. Let the bridegroom leave his room, and the bride her chamber. Between the vestibule and the altar let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep and say, ‘Spare your people, O Lord.’” (Joel 2:15-17a; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Very slowly and carefully, pray the well-known verse, 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.’”
  • Ask the Lord for a move of holiness, mission, and identity to sweep over the Body of Christ.
  • Call for the Bride of Christ to come to the altar of the Lord and weep for the nation. Call for the wailing women. Call for everyone to come – the old, the children, the newlyweds, the parents, the middle-aged, every color, every language, every denomination. We need them all!
  • Bless the beautiful tears. Bless the beautiful ones led to cry them. Close your eyes and see the tears fall to the ground as seeds, then burst forth from the ground as harvest!
  • Praise God for the Harvest! It is coming!

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we intercede as Your people who are called by Your name. We choose to humble ourselves, and pray and seek Your face. Lord, we choose to turn from our wicked ways. Forgive us our sin.  You promise to then hear us from Your vantage point in heaven, to forgive our sin and heal our land. We call for the beautiful Bride of Christ to come to Your altar and weep for America. You love Your Bride, Jesus. Who are we to ever criticize her or attempt to hold her back from her intercession and work of Kingdom expansion? Yet, we do it all the time. So, we repent and call for every Believer to come and pray. We call for the old, the children, the newlyweds, the parents, the middle-aged; every color, every language, every denomination. May we now put our faces to the ground and cry out together for our future; together for the harvest; together for Your Kingdom to come and Will to be done in this nation. Bless the Bride’s beautiful tears. Let them fall as seeds into the ground of this country. Cause them to grow quickly into a great harvest of Awakening – so great we cannot even comprehend it. Let it break our baskets and nets, Holy Spirit. Let Holiness and Harvest overtake us! May our tearful intercession have great reward in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Let the Bride of Christ gather and weep and cry out together over this land, “Spare Your people, Lord!”

400th Anniversary of the First American Legislature

“On this day in 1619, statesmen from the Colony of Virginia gathered in Jamestown as the first deliberative body in what would become the United States of America.  Four hundred years later, the same sense of representative democracy that motivated these statesmen continues to drive our Nation forward and ensures that America is a beacon of hope and opportunity for all.

“Known as ‘the oldest continuous law-making body in the New World,’ the House of Burgesses, now known as the Virginia General Assembly, was formed as a unicameral body of individuals elected by settlements throughout the colony who served alongside people appointed by the Virginia Company of London.  The Burgesses came from a variety of backgrounds—soldiers, clergymen, farmers, and planters. They were united in their cause for a better future for the brave settlers who had crossed the Atlantic for God and Country and for their descendants. From modest beginnings, the first legislative assembly in America would usher in a new era of government that derives its power from the consent of the people.

“Four centuries later, the great American Experiment of democratic principles that began in Jamestown continues to thrive.  From local city councils and State capitols to the halls of Congress, legislative bodies across our country continue to deliberate and represent the will of the people.  Today, we recognize the pioneering and unrelenting spirit of Jamestown, which has shaped the character of our Nation, and we celebrate the abundant blessings of freedom we continue to protect and cherish.

“May God bless the United States of America.” (President Donald J. Trump)

“The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.” (Proverbs 21:1; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Thank the Lord that He has given us a President that honors Him.
  • Bless President Trump for acknowledging God in so much of what he does and in the speeches he presents.
  • Thank the Father that our nation’s governmental structure was founded on biblical principles and that clergy participated, even led the way, in the formation of our government.
  • Intercede for the continued freedom that our representative form of government affords this nation. It has formed the character of the nation and, while imperfect, it is a blessing to the whole earth.
  • Ask the Lord to preserve our government, which includes the consent of the people. It is under serious threat in this generation. Upcoming generations lack even more understanding of government structures, and socialism looks good to them.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, thank You for giving  us a President that openly honors You. He doesn’t care what anyone thinks. He surrounds himself with Your people to advise him. We bless him for honoring Your Name. Thank you for this amazing nation President Trump is currently leading. It really is the greatest nation on earth. Lord, we long for it to remain as a nation that makes You famous in the earth. Forgive us our sin and give us many more years for the Gospel to go forth from these shores. Preserve our representative form of government, which helps to give us the freedom to spread the Gospel message and expand Your Kingdom. Please never let other forms of government, such as socialism, infiltrate our populace and remove the consent of the people. Forgive us when we even entertain such thoughts, for the limitations of the will of the people ultimately mean limitations on Believers. Thank you, Jesus, for this day to remember the blessed and wise governing structure you have given America. Amen.

Today’s decree:

May the government of freedom God has given the United States of America be sustained by Him!
