Koinonia – Communion

NOTICE: Before we begin today, I want to remind everyone that the One Voice Prayer Movement begins tomorrow with a conference call with President Trump’s spiritual adviser, Paula White, at 12:00 P.M. EST/ 11:00 A.M. CST/ 10:00 A.M. MST/ 9:00 A.M. PST.

Call: 712-775-7430
Access: 2452#
To Mute: *6

Call: 712-775-7431 with no code.
To Mute: *6

This call is open to the entire Church, however, it is limited to the first 5000 callers. You can jump on a webcast of the call here, if you cannot get on the live conference call. I also want to be sure you know this movement was not my idea, but rather I am one of a group of like-minded Believers who is leading and promoting it.

Here is the Give Him 15 post for today:

A significant meaning of the word “koinonia” is “communion”, referring to the sacrament which is a covenant meal, as in “the communion meal”, “the Lord’s Table”, or “the Last Supper”. We call it communion, because what is supposed to be happening there is a “communing” with Him. Just as the disciples communed with Him at the Last Supper, we commune with Him around this covenant meal. We remember what He did for us as we partake of it.

1 Corinthians 10:16 speaks of God in this context of “communion”. The reason it speaks of communion and the Lord’s Table is that when we partake of that bread and that cup, something more than a theological thing happens. We’re not just remembering something from way back when. God is trying to make a point that when we do this, we’re supposed to receive something. This is a sharing. He is saying, “I am sharing my life with you. When you take part in that covenant meal with me, you should be receiving something.” In some translations communion is described as a sharing of His Body. He is distributing life to us as we partake in His body and blood through the symbols of the bread and the wine. We receive a reminder of the exchange of His life for ours (redemption). We receive forgiveness and cleansing from sin. We can receive healing and restoration. He shares every aspect of Life in Christ with us at the communion table.

“When we bless the cup at the Lord’s Table, aren’t we sharing in the blood of Christ? And when we break the bread, aren’t we sharing in the body of Christ?” (1 Corinthians 10:16; NLT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Meditate on communion, as in the Lord’s table. Think about the Last Supper and what was happening when Jesus revealed the communion meal to His disciples.
  • Have you been taking communion lightly or as a ritual?
  • Ask the Lord to reveal something new and fresh to you about the communion sacrament. Ask Him what He wants You to know about Him in that important meal.
  • If you have the elements for communion, partake with Him in this new revelation.
  • What do you need from the Lord? Ask Him for a divine exchange as you take communion with Him.
  • Receive what He shares with you—forgiveness from sin, life, hope, health, deliverance, and breakthrough. Let His love for you consume you.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, I will meditate today on “communion”. As I read the story in the Gospels of that holy night when the disciples gathered in the upper room to share a passover meal together, bring revelation. They had no expectation of what Jesus was about to do. They hadn’t ever understood the symbolism in the ceremony. They were about to see that the whole thing revealed Jesus and the work He was about to do on the cross, which would give them eternal life. Wow! On this side of the cross it is so much easier to see. Yet, I often just take the bread and communion cup as “a thing we do as a Christian”, and not as the reminder of Your great sacrifice for me. There is life in it, Jesus. Your life is in it. Your life exchanged for mine. You gave your life to save me. You gave Your blood to redeem me, to heal me, to deliver me, to make a way for me when there seems to be no way. Cause me to pay attention as I take communion from here on out. Let me understand the koinonia in the ceremony. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

Today’s decree:

God wants to share the fullness of communion with His Church.

Koinonia – Defined

Koinonia is a word some Christians use in place of saying “community” or “fellowship”. I want to start to introduce it more fully to you over the next few days. I want us to look at it as it’s used in scripture and maybe take it from a religious term to something more life-giving.

One meaning of this word is “to communicate”. We get our English words communicate, communicative, and communication from it. It can also be translated “community”, “communion” (as in “together with one another”), or “social”.

This is an important word to God. In using it, God wanted us to know He wants to hang out with us and communicate with us. I’m amazed that God really wants to hang out with us. I’m amazed that when we worship Him, He cannot resist coming and hovering in the room. You can sense His presence and you know He’s in the room. This is not because He’s an arrogant or egotistical God who just loves to have somebody tell Him how great He is. It’s not because He’s insecure and needs to hear us worship so He feels good about Himself. No. He is such a God of “koinonia”, relationship, that He cannot resist the communing aspect of meeting with us. You can be in a worship service where there is singing, and if it’s rote or not heartfelt, there’s no presence of God that shows up. He’s not into hearing how great He is in just words. But when it’s heartfelt, and you can sense that it is true worship, adoration, communing, you cannot be there without God coming with His presence. He wants to relate.

“Through his glory and integrity he has given us his promises that are of the highest value. Through these promises you will share in the divine nature because you have escaped the corruption that sinful desires cause in the world.” (2 Peter 1:4; GWT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Tell the Lord how much you want to understand the fullness of “koinonia”, so you can commune with Him and with the body of Christ in a deeper and more fulfilling way.
  • Repent for the times You have felt too busy to devote time to communing with Him. Maybe you didn’t even have a reason not to. He misses you.
  • Put worship music on and worship Him in a way that facilitates you experiencing His presence best.
  • Intercede for the Church to change the way they do things in order to set an atmosphere where He can come and commune with His people.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, “koinonia” is a familiar word, but I haven’t realized what a deep word it is. Just like other Greek and Hebrew words, there is so much more to it than just the common term of “fellowship of the Believers”. I have thought of it as associated with home groups and potlucks and getting to know other Christians in a social setting. I really haven’t thought of this word as describing a deep, intimate relationship with You. I want to understand this word. I am intrigued by it now. Let the revelation of it change me and change the relationship You and I have. Forgive me for the times I have ignored You. I don’t know why I do that. Sometimes I feel busy, but sometimes I think I just don’t understand how important intimate relationship with Your people is to You. It’s hard to believe You really want to come and hang out with us. I do know You inhabit the praises of Your people. When I worship You, I sense You near. I long to have that be a consistent experience. I know You want this more than I do. So, teach me, Lord. Draw me to You. Make me long for Your presence as much as You long for mine. Let the whole Church want You like that. People, filled with You, who know You, not just about You, will be very attractive to the unsaved. Come, Lord Jesus, come to me. Amen.

Today’s decree:

God loves to hang out with His kids!

One Voice Prayer Movement Launch

On Tuesday, November 5th, Dutch Sheets Ministries, together with a number of other national ministries and networks, will launch the One Voice Prayer Movement. The goal of the One Voice Prayer Movement is to unite the Body of Christ to pray for God’s values to be expressed through government and the nation (John 17). Prayer ministries, networks, leaders, and intercessors are all invited to participate and are key to creating a unified voice of prayer as we seek God’s direction and calling for our nation.

One year from this day in 2020, America will vote. The stakes have never been higher. We must choose to complete the turnaround the Lord has granted us, shifting our nation towards constitutional governance incorporating clear biblical values, or we see the momentous gains made during the past three years simply depleted.

The One Voice Prayer Movement will launch with a special conference call by Paula White and other national leaders on Tuesday, November 5th, at 12:00 P.M. EST/ 11:00 A.M. CST/ 10:00 A.M. MST/ 9:00 A.M. PST and EVERY First Tuesday of the month:

Call:          (712) 775-7431

Access:     2452#

Call:          (712) 775-7430 with no code

Please visit the One Voice Prayer Movement website here for lots of prayer points for the nation. Imagine how your fervent intercession in unity with multitudes of other intercessors across America can help to facilitate God’s plan for this nation now, and for future generations of Americans.

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior.” (1 Timothy 2:1-3; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Please mark your calendar to join us on the conference call to launch the One Voice Prayer Movement on Tuesday. Calls will continue on the first Tuesday of each month at the same time and with the same call in number and access code.
  • Intercede for the One Voice Prayer Movement. Go to the website and find current informational articles and points for prayer.
  • Pray for unity in the Body of Christ and that many individuals will be able to be on the call.
  • Ask God to stir the hearts of pastors and prayer group leaders to let their congregations know about this call. Let your pastor know.
  • If you are a pastor, let other pastors and leaders know about it.
  • Share this post on social media.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, what an exciting time we are in. We have been working for years to increase unity in the Church. Each year we seem a little more united and now we have a very unique opportunity before us. We get to push forward in fervent intercession until we see a solid turning of our nation and an atmosphere set for awakening and revival. Some Christians don’t think government matters, but government working to promote righteous laws and securing our basic freedoms, such as freedom of religion and freedom of speech, can make all the difference in the world. We want a nation where we can continue to honor You in every aspect of our lives. We want to be able to lift up the name of Jesus in our homes, churches, workplaces, schools, in the halls of government and everywhere else in the public square. We call for the Body of Christ to come together in unity and with One Voice pray for America. We call for the pastors to encourage their congregations to join in. We call for the leaders of prayer groups and prayer networks to make the call known. We want a righteous and just nation now, and one we leave to our children and grandchildren. Jesus, we are grateful for the unity of the Church operating in the bond of love, fighting for the future of our nation. Amen.

Today’s decree:

With One Voice we will cry out for the future of America!

Reverse the Curse

“There is a rising tide of witchcraft in our nation with self-proclaimed witches openly casting their spells on our President and other leaders. This season is particularly rampant with curses, rituals, and hexes–not only against this President but also affecting our nation at large, including our families. That which used to be done in secret is now openly promoted and even celebrated by those intent on destruction. How can we reverse the curse? We must remember that our praises to God are greater than any evil curse. Our praises shift the atmosphere and confuse the enemy, just like they did with Jehoshaphat’s army. Even when the people of God seemed outnumbered, it was their focus on the Most High God and the praises from their lips that brought them victory. Though we can renounce dark spells and rebuke the enemy, our declaration of the King’s dominion over our land will displace any demonic scheme and nullify any curse (2 Chr 20:21-23). Believers must rise up and declare the goodness and majesty of God, especially when demonic forces are advancing. We must release a sound of overcoming hope and victory that will change atmospheres and shift the spiritual battle in God’s favor. The enemy loses all clarity and authority when we join our voices in praise and worship to the One True God. (Ps 149:6-9).” (Intercessors for America)

“Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment—this honor have all His saints.” (Psalm 149:6-9; NKJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer (From the IFA Prayer Guide):

  • PRAISE–OVERWHELM THE ATMOSPHERE WITH THE PRESENCE OF THE MOST HIGH GOD! Alone, or with other believers, lift up a corporate voice of praise to God and victory over the darkness. (Jude 1:25)
  • COVER YOURSELF with the protection of the blood of Christ as you wade in these spiritual waters of countering curses. (Eph 6:10-20)
  • REPENT for any way you have personally spoken against family members, our leaders, or our nation. (Jas 5:16)
  • RENOUNCE THE CURSES and NULLIFY them through the blood of Christ (Gal 3:13, Deut 11:26, Jas 4:7). Pray for supernatural wisdom and revelation to know what curses need to be countered. (For instance, you might say, “I renounce the curse of harm against the President and I nullify any assignment of the enemy to bring him harm.”)
  • SPEAK THE OPPOSITE. Bless those who are being cursed as well as those who are blindly cursing them. (For instance you might say, “In the name of Jesus, I pray that instead of harm against the President, that there be supernatural protection over him, and that those who are cursing him would come to faith in Christ.”)
  • RELEASE the true destiny for those being cursed by calling forth God’s purposes for them (Jer 29:11). (For instance you might say, “I call forth the destiny of God for this President, that all that God desires to accomplish through this man would come to be, and that God would be glorified.”)
  • CONTINUE to repeat these actions to actively counteract the ongoing cursing of our families, our President, and our nation.

A prayer you can pray:

God Most High, we worship You today! We exalt You and say there is no other God, but You. Jesus, we honor and exalt You as the one and only sacrifice for sin. Redemption and protection comes through only one place, and that is through Your shed blood. We say, “We are under the protection of the living blood of Jesus. Nothing can touch us and we are protected from every curse because of His blood.” We are forgiven by Your blood, as well, therefore we repent of any known sin in our lives. We also ask You to forgive any sin we are not aware of, Lord. So, from this position, cleansed by Your blood, we say, “We renounce the curse of harm against the President and any other curses against the nation and the church that witches have recently made. We nullify any assignment of the enemy to bring him harm. Satan does not get to take Your place in any regard. We will not allow it.” We bless those who curse us, Lord. We say, let them come to know the One who adores them! If they only knew Your love for them, Jesus, they wouldn’t act like this against You and Your purposes. We pray that President Trump and any others that were cursed would be unhindered from fulfilling their destiny in You. We bless those whom the enemy attempted to curse and say, they are free in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Let every curse of darkness spoken in the last month be nullified by the blood of Jesus! The blood of Jesus is against you, Satan!

Reformation Day 2019

October 31st should be one of the most celebrated days in Christian history. It is a day of God-fearing rebellion against the religious system. It is the day Martin Luther’s hammer nailed 95 theses to a church door and split Christian history in two. The Protestant Reformation began that day—a restoration of personal relationship to God. No longer would Christians need to be spoon-fed by professional priests and ministers. No longer would they need to pay alms to hear the Word of the Lord or receive prayer or other sacraments. God began to return the church to the people on October 31, 1517.

The Church had fallen very far from the Church Christ established in the Book of Acts. The Holy Spirit was ousted and no one was allowed to preach, teach, or perform any spiritual act outside of being a member of the Catholic clergy. Christianity became a religion of works. The clergy of the day seemed to have forgotten that Jesus said men were saved by faith and grace, not works. While faith without works is useless, good works, the Bible said, were to flow from a life lived by a Believer walking by faith in the Son of God.

The word “reformation” describes well what began to happen. Not only were individual Christians set free by these concepts of grace and personal salvation, but all of society benefited by their freedom. I think that oppression broke off of many and they discovered who they were in Christ, looking more directly to Jesus and His Word for direction in their daily lives. People shifted, politics shifted, and culture shifted. Ultimately, some of those seeking freedom from oppressive religious systems in Europe made their way to the shores of the new world in America and our nation’s history began.

“Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you, whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.” (Acts 3:19-21; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Do you want to be a reformer of the American Church and culture like Martin Luther once was? Tell the Lord so. Intercede for all those He is raising up as reformers for this generation.
  • Ask Him for more passion; a deeper walk with Him. Desire a more intimate worship experience with Him. He loves to reveal Himself to those who long for Him.
  • Intercede for those locked in a religious culture that keeps people from an intimate walk with Him.
  • Look and see culture from Christ’s perspective. Talk to Him about what you see.
  • Ask the Lord to make you so passionate about the things He cares about that you become dangerous to Satan and his evil plans.
  • Tell Him you want to be used like an Abraham, Joshua, Esther, and David in this generation.
  • Say, “Jesus, take my life and let me be a reformer of this nation and the Church in my generation.”

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, raise up a new generation of reformers. We need a reforming generation. We want to be difference-makers. There is something in our DNA that can’t accept status quo or business as usual. We can’t accept things as they are. Give us the boldness we need to change things in our generation. We want to rock the boat. Just like Martin Luther, we hate religion. We see how all its rules and regulations limit Your people. We have tasted of You and You make us hungry for more. We crave Your Presence. We can’t get enough of You. This hunger for the purity of Your Presence makes us loathe the average church service, where we don’t get the opportunity to really connect with You in worship. We weep for those locked in religious traditions of men. Set them free!

Lord, we refuse to let the world around us shape or define us. We see societal ills as challenges You are more than able to overcome. We are not daunted by how impossible they seem. We don’t fear adversity, because we know how big You are! Partnering with You, we become dangerous to evil. Evil must flee before Your Church. We are not “normal” Christians. We don’t fit in the typical societal niche, because You have made us reformers. You have placed in this nation a new generation cut of the cloth of Abraham, Joshua, Esther, and David. We are the Wilberforces, the Lincolns, and Martin Luther King, Jr.’s of today. We won’t tolerate mediocrity. We can’t stand indifference and complacency. We will cry out and speak out and passionately intercede until the Church of our generation wakes up and engages this culture. Jesus, take our lives and let us be reformers of this nation. Amen.

Today’s decree:

The Ekklesia walking in intimate friendship with God will be reformers of our nation’s culture until God is glorified in this land!

God’s Assignment

God gave Adam and Eve an assignment, “Be fruitful and multiply. I want lots of kids. Give Me a big family.” Then, He gave them one more assignment. He said, “This planet, this home, this part of the Kingdom, this outpost, this colony, I’m calling ‘Earth’. This will be your home. You’re going to rule over it for Me. You’re going to manage it. Don’t do it any way you want. Ask Me for My way, My Kingdom principles, the way that heaven operates, and bring that to Earth.” Psalm 115:16 essentially says that the heavens are the Lord’s, but He has given the earth as an assignment to man. Well, the heavens appear to be functioning just fine. It’s only the part He delegated to us that got messed up.

God uses two words in there, “dominion” and “subdue”, to explain what He wants us to do on the earth. The two best words in English to define those words are “manage” and “govern”. He said, therefore, “Adam, manage the earth. Govern the earth.” By the way, “Adam” there is not a male-gender name or term. It just means “humankind”. So, you get in on this ladies.

I understand management. If I don’t own something, I can still manage it for somebody. Management is delegated authority to take care of it. That is what government is supposed to be. In fact, God is government, and He delegates His governmental authority through His people to govern the earth. When that is operating properly, justice and righteousness rule. When the righteous rule, the Bible tells us the people are glad.

“The heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to mankind.” (Psalm 115:16; NET)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Talk to God about the assignment He gave man in the garden. Get it down solidly in your heart.
  • Consider how far man has fallen. Look around you. Read the news. It’s getting worse and worse. Let that reality break your heart.
  • Tell Him you want what He wanted from the very beginning—to be one of His family, a part of His lineage, a member of His household, a part of His Ekklesia.
  • Ask Him to show you your true identity. Ask Him to show you how to walk fully in it together with Him until His Kingdom is manifest in the earth.
  • Pray for the ability to multiply His family and disciple those that come to Christ.

A prayer you can pray:

God, You said You wanted family and that family was going to govern the earth. Those are the two mandates of Genesis. Everything got messed up at the Fall. Mankind is born fallen now. We reproduce fallen people, instead of those in Your glorified likeness. We lost Your dominion and Satan became the god of this world. Thanks be to You that You fixed our mess! Thank You for Jesus! With His birth, death, and resurrection, You fulfilled Your promise and crushed Satan’s headship. Satan no longer gets to be the head of the planet. In Matthew 16, Jesus said that He would build His Church. You weren’t going to build a building. You were going to build a lineage or family or household. We are a part of that lineage! We are Your household. We are also Your Ekklesia. We are Your governing body in the earth. Through Christ, those that receive You get to conquer in the spiritual realm and we get to rule together with You. We get to disciple those new to the Kingdom. We get to exchange our old identity for one in Christ. Our thinking will change. Our attitude will change. Our words will change, and our actions will change. Then, we will effect change in the areas of influence You have placed us. Send us, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

God’s Kingdom on earth will be governed by His Ekklesia, and we Jesus-followers are that Ekklesia!

We Are Made in His Image

We are moving into a season where the Church can really, really, really be the Church. We are going to manifest who He is in ways we have not been able to. We’re in a perfect, holy storm; a fullness of time. We’re coming into a fullness of His anointing. We are going to reveal Him fully now. We can now fully accomplish our assignment on the earth.

Let’s go back and take a look at the creation story in Genesis. For five days, God created everything we see on the earth. On the sixth day, He created, but the word used for “created” there is not the same word He has been using. He uses a word for forming or fashioning. He came to earth and put His hands in the dirt. Then, He formed and fashioned Adam. Each day on days one through five He ended the day by saying, “This is good.” But, on the sixth day, when He finished forming us, He said, “This is very good.”

When God finished, He leaned down and touched the man with His mouth in what must have looked to the angels like a kiss. He breathed His nature into Adam. Now, man was no longer a lump of clay, but he could move. God had put His Spirit into man. We became like Him. We were now “in His image and likeness.” The Bible uses the word “salem”. It means “illusion”. We were so much like Him that it was like an illusion. When the angels saw Adam walk by, they might have done a double-take, because he was made so like God. He was crowned with glory. Hebrew scholars believe he was clothed with light. That’s why he saw his nakedness when he fell. He wasn’t like the angels, because God wasn’t making servants or angels or animals. He was making family. He wanted them to populate the earth with others carrying His nature and His spirit.

“Then God said, ‘Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth.’ God created humankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply! Fill the earth and subdue it! God saw all that he had made—and it was very good! There was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day.” (Genesis 1:26-28a, 31; NET)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Stop and think about what the day must have been like when God created Adam and Eve. What was God feeling? How special to Him was this man and woman He created?
  • Now, understand that He was thinking of you, too, when He created Adam and Eve. He had the same dream for you that He had for them.
  • Think about the fact that He put His likeness in us to the point that the angels could mistake us for Him. Let your heart long for that. Tell Him you want to be like Him in every way possible.
  • Consider what the Church can do in the earth in partnership with the Lord.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, today we are meditating on Your creation of mankind. We don’t stop and ponder this deeply enough or often enough. We know we have been born again by Your Spirit, but we are actually being restored to the position You originally wanted us in. You had a thought, “I will create ‘man’ in My image. I’ll make them male and female, so they compliment each other. I want them to think like Me. I want them to be eternal like Me. I want My Spirit and nature to be inside of them.” You wanted us to be so much like You that angels and demons and animals and every other created being would see how closely related we were. We were to be a reflection of You in the earth and we were to govern it as You would. While we cannot perfectly do that now, we are thankful that through the process of Your death and resurrection, Jesus, we can fulfill much of that. If we stay very close to You, we can act like You, think like You, speak like You, relate to others as You do. We can be filled with Your Holy Spirit. We can walk in Your authority. We can do the works that You do. We can speak the words that You speak. By Your grace, others can see You in us. They may not love us. They may reject us, even as they reject You, but we can hope and pray by faith that some will choose You. In the meantime, we can declare and decree Your purposes in the earth. We can open the heavens with our worship and intercession. We can believe and see the fruit of our faith. We can expand Your Kingdom in the earth. Here we are, Your sons and daughters. We are Your family. Make the lost hungry and thirsty for You through us in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

In this fullness of time, we will understand who we are and we will reveal Him. His Kingdom is coming to America through us!

Fill the Atmosphere With the Sound of Heaven

The Lord gave me a Word a number of years ago that I listened to again today. The presence of the Lord was still very strong on it. I share it with you, so you can also commune with Him in a deep, worshipful way. Then, take hold of it and proclaim it.

“Bring forth the sound of heaven. As you do that, I will begin to fill the atmosphere. It will not be what you say. It will be who you are! You will no longer wonder what it means not to be able to minister or move because of My weighty Presence. You will know My weighty Presence. You will know My glory.”

You must ask Him to come. You must create an atmosphere for His Spirit. You must give Him worth. You must value Him above your next breath. You must ask Him to come. You must cry out until the sound of heaven reaches earth. You must cry out until the sound of your voice is one with His. You must cry! You must cry! You must cry out for it! “Come, come, come, Lord! You must come to us! We must have You! Spirit of God, come. Come. Let the voice of many waters be heard in this place. Build a house for Your glory. Come. Let us hear the sound of heaven. Come. Come into this place with fire, Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit of God, come!”

“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ Let anyone who hears this say, ‘Come.’ Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.” (Revelation 22:17; NLT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Put prophetic worship on today and soak in His Presence. (Everyone has their favorite style, but here is the recording of that Word above, with music by Psalmist Rick Pino.)
  • Ask God to shift the atmosphere of your home, workplace, school, neighborhood, or city.
  • Worship Him over the nation. Ask God to send His Presence down onto our nation’s capital, joining our prayers to those of Believers who are seeking Him there today.
  • Call for the Lord to come to America, to invade the atmosphere, and shift the nation.

A prayer you can pray:

“Come, come, come, Lord! You must come to us! We must have You! Spirit of God, come,” we plead. “Come. Let the voice of many waters be heard in this place. Build a house for Your glory. Come. Let us hear the sound of heaven. Come. Come into this place with fire, Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit of God, come!” The Spirit and we, Your Bride, say, “Come!” We can’t live without Your Presence. The turmoil in our nation can only be undone by a shift in the atmosphere. You are stirring things up as we pray. You are exposing and revealing. You are undoing all of the hidden things. Everything the enemy thought he had wrapped up is coming unraveled! Come, Holy Spirit, come! We must have You, Lord. We are hungry for You. We are thirsty for You. You are everything we have ever needed. Why have we delayed in crying out for You? Have we thought we could give our opinions all over social media and make it all shift? Have we thought we could complain to our family and friends and see anything change? Why do we get stuck in this small mindset thinking! You are God! Come, Holy Spirit, and shift the atmosphere of our homes, our workplaces, our neighborhoods, and cities while we worship You. Hear the cries of the saints living and working in Washington, D.C. Invade our nation’s capital with Your Holy Presence. Come into America, Lord! Come and open the heavens and get Your will done! We will worship You. We will cry out for You. We will join the angels and the Spirit of God saying, “Come, come, come!” Amen.

Today’s decree:

We, the Bride, cry out together with Your Holy Spirit, “Fill America with Your Presence, Jesus! Come!”

Has the Nation Gone Mad?

Texas had a little drama this week. Remember as you read this that Texas is considered one of our most conservative states. Millions of people in Texas will tell you they are a Christian and the state has the reputation of having a strong Christian heritage and atmosphere. Well… then how does something so immoral and culturally-left happen in a state like Texas? Here is what occurred:

On October 21st, a jury in Dallas, Texas, decided that a father, Jeffrey Younger, could not prevent the gender-transition therapy of his 7-year-old son, James. James’ mother, Dr. Anne Georgulas, is a Dallas-area pediatrician who said that her son has been acting like a girl since he was 3. James has a twin brother, by the way. James’ transition to a girl would mean the use of hormone-blockers to prevent puberty, which is chemical castration. Did I say he is 7-years-old? The ramifications of this for his life are grotesque to think about. (Read more here.)

But, all was not lost. A couple of days later, Governor Abbott said the state would investigate the situation as a child abuse case through both the State Attorney Generals’ office and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Senator Ted Cruz said, “A 7-year-old child doesn’t have the maturity to make profound decisions like this. The state of Texas should protect this child’s right to choose—as an informed, mature person—and not be used as a pawn in a left-wing political agenda.” (Read more here.)

Then, on the 24th, the presiding judge in the case, Judge Kim Cooks, overturned the jury decision, and granted joint custody to the parents, including joint medical decisions. No gender transition company could perform the transition process without the consent of both parents, in other words. (Read more here.) There has also been an outcry from the public in Texas to exact legislation that prevents a medical procedure of this kind before a child is 18 and can decide for themselves. To say it was a shocking week in Texas is an understatement, but it is sadly unlikely to be the last case of its type in the nation. We must pray!

“From the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.” (Mark 10:6; KJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Intercede for James. His mother has treated him as female since he was 3 years-old. His psyche needs to be healed.
  • Pray for his father, Jeffrey, to have influence in James’ life. Pray that he would know the Lord and throw his whole trust on Jesus to minister to his son.
  • Ask the Lord to introduce Himself to Dr. Georgulas, James’ mother. Ask that scales be removed from her eyes and from her heart.
  • Intercede into this spiritual war against gender. God has created each of us exactly the way He desired us to be. Society is becoming deeply deceived about this. Some people are trying so hard to accept gender-confusion as normal, but this is something we must stand strongly against, especially where it concerns children. It is deception and child abuse.

A prayer you can pray:

Father God, You are a good and loving Father. You are a wise and perfect Creator. You knew exactly what You were doing when You created mankind as male and female. The devil has hated that from the beginning. He has now brought society to a place that people are questioning their gender. It seems impossible to think that something so basic and simple could be questioned. This is a demonically-designed attack against humanity. Save us, Lord. Save all these children, like James, from their deceived parents. I cannot even think about how James’ life would play out once he becomes an adult and realizes the effects of this abuse on his body. Children are not social experiments! We pray for James today. Help Him, Jesus. Thank you for Judge Kim Cooks who has helped to save him from his mother’s deception. Show James the wonder and benefit of being a boy who will be a strong man someday. Reveal Yourself to his dad, Jeffrey. Teach him how to be an impactful father and great male role model for his sons. Save Dr.Georgulas. She needs to know You, so she can realize what a tragedy she almost brought on her son. She needs You, Jesus. Unveil her eyes and her heart. Do this across the land. So many are walking in this strange deception. So many are giving into it. National deception is even worse than personal, as the group is afraid not to think independently and righteously for fear of being rejected. Oh, God, we cry out to You to save us in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Today’s decree:

Our children will not be made social experiments in America, but they will be honored as God created them to be—biologically male and female.

Restoring Religious Freedom

“I remember an America where God was honored in everything we did. We honored Him in school where we asked His blessing on our day with a brief prayer. We honored Him from our courtrooms to our sporting events. Most every formal institution began proceedings by calling on the Name of the Lord our God, His wisdom, His mercy, His care, and His justice. We humbly asked Him for His Divine intervention in our affairs and decisions. Where has that America gone? Slowly, ever so slowly, we have become more secularized and pushed God out of the public square. How can we think we do not need His direction? How prideful that is!

“The result of our dishonoring of Him as a culture is that He is now being forcibly pushed out of even our personal businesses. Recently, even churches are under open attack. There are godless men and women who desire to see God removed from society completely! They want God relegated to our private lives within our own homes. I say, ‘Enough is enough!’

“The First Amendment guarantees freedoms concerning religion, expression, assembly, and the right to petition. It forbids Congress from both promoting one religion over others and also restricting an individual’s religious practices. It guarantees freedom of expression by prohibiting Congress from restricting the press or the rights of individuals to speak freely. It also guarantees the right of citizens to assemble peaceably and to petition their government.1

“We must pray concerning our religious freedom and our right to preach, teach, worship and observe our religious beliefs.” (Cindy Jacobs)

“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Pray we will continue to have “the right to follow the dictates of our conscience and the demands of our religious conviction” (President Trump): “So then, brethren, stand firm and hold on to the traditions which you were taught whether by word of mouth or by letter from us”. (2 Thessalonians 2:15; ESV)
  •  Pray for unity and peace: “Make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace.” (Colossians 3:13-14; NIV)
  • Pray we love one another: “Do not take revenge on others or continue to hate them, but love your neighbors as you love yourself. I am the Lord.” (Leviticus 19:18; GNT)

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, I remember what it was like when I was young and we could pray so much more freely in public places. Slowly, over my lifetime, that has been eroded away, until Christians are fearful to make public displays of affection to You. I’m not sure exactly how we let that happen in America, but it has become our reality. I am so thankful for people like President Trump, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Special Ambassador of Religious Freedom Sam Brownback, and a number of Christian Senators and U.S. Representatives who are working governmentally to reverse this cultural dismissal of You. I am asking that You give the Church the boldness and faith to honor You openly. I am deciding today to talk about You everywhere I go. I will worship You openly wherever I go. I’ll encourage my children (or grandchildren) to take their Bibles to school and read them there. I commit to talk to my children about You as we go about our day. I will not hesitate to pray publicly. I will even learn to write my elected representatives and tell them how I feel about the legislation they are supporting. If many Believers do these things, we will honor You as the Lord of our nation once again! Stir us up, Jesus! We welcome You into the public square once again. Amen.

Today’s decree:

God, we welcome You and honor You in the public square in this nation!
