Day of Quiet Worship

After a time of spiritual battle and declaration, such as we have undertaken these last three days, it is always good to rest in the Lord. (See August 8 through 10 in the archives if you missed them.) The battle is done. He and His angels are at work and your place is to simply enjoy Him. There is nothing better! Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the beauty of His temple and in the depth of His love for you. Rest in Him today.

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3; NKJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Worship Him in a soft place of rest and trust.
  • Pray His Word from 1 Chronicles 16:23-25, “Sing to the LORD, all the earth: Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day. Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples. For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He also is to be feared above all gods.” (GNT)
  • Just sit and enjoy His Presence for a few minutes. There is no need to say anything. Just be with Him.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, I worship You. You are absolutely wonderful, incredible, magnificent and glorious! These last few days have been pretty intense as we undertook spiritual warfare for the nation. Thank you that we now get to enter into a time of quiet rest and trust in You, while You work on our behalf. (Pray 1 Chronicles 16:23-25 to Him.) I just want to sit here in Your presence now and just enjoy these few minutes of my day with You. I don’t do it enough, but Lord help me make it a daily habit! In Jesus’ name, amen.

Today’s decree:

Today I will enter Your rest and just very simply enjoy every second of being with You!

Day of Rededication

This is the third day of a 3-day national call to prayer. Today, we will rededicate our cities, state and nation to the Lord Jesus Christ with the Father and Holy Spirit, our Triune God, Lord of the universe and all eternity, the only true God. Spend some time in worship and establish Him through your praise as the only God over America. Adore Him and tell Him how wonderful He is! Decree the scriptures below.

“The Lord takes pleasure in his people; he honors the humble with victory. Let God’s people rejoice in their triumph and sing joyfully all night long.” (Psalm 145:4-5; GNT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Psalm 33 in its entirety.
  • “Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below—you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way.” (1Kings 8:23; NIV)
  • “If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful because he cannot be untrue to himself.” (2 Timothy 2:13; GWT)
  • “Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law he does meditate day and night….The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.” (Psalm 1:1-2 and 4-5; NKJV)
  • “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy acceptable to God. And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:1-2; NKJV)
  • The Lord would say to us, “Indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies.” (Genesis 22:17; NKJV)

A prayer you can pray:

Pray the scriptures above.

Today’s decree:

Jesus, we worship You, together with the Father and Holy Spirit, as God Most High over the United States of America!

Day of Revocation

Ask God to revoke any demonic spiritual power that facilitates and holds the nation captive under the curse of sins repented for and renounced yesterday (see yesterday’s prayer points, if you missed them.) The shed blood of Jesus is all we need to have a right to intercede before the throne of grace. Go through the prayer points again and list the areas you are agreeing with God are revoked. Be bold in your request of the Father!

“Since then we have a great High Priest who has passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was in every sense tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us then come with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:14-16; MEV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Ask God to revoke the authority any demonic host would have over your city, state and America as a result of:
    • Past worship of any false gods or participation in any false religious activities.
    • Any covenant breaking that has occurred on a national level, including the breaking of treaties with the Native Americans.
    • The sin of the shedding of innocent blood, including the sin of abortion.
    • Any acts of injustice or corruption that have occurred, especially in your city, including slavery and racism. Pray for a healing of the wounding between police officers and the African American community.
    • Rampant sexual sin, such as pornography, sex trafficking, forced public acceptance of alternate forms of sexuality by various levels of government and immorality in general.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, as we have come to You in repentance of our sins and the sins of our nation, and have renounced those sins, we ask that You would now appropriate the power of the shed blood of Jesus and revoke all authority demonic hosts have had over us as a nation. Lord, there are many thousands of Believers praying in unity and faith today. We thank You for Your Word that asks us to come boldly to the throne of grace and find grace to help in time of need, and Lord, that is what we are doing. Save us and save our nation! In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s decree:

The blood of Jesus is enough to save us! We will serve no other master, but Jesus Christ alone!

Day of Repentance and Renunciation

Today begins a three-day national call to fasting and prayer for the nation. Millions of Christians across the country will be praying today, tomorrow and Wednesday. Every Believer in the Body of Christ is being invited to fast and pray to rededicate our land back to Jesus Christ, the one and only Lord, along with our Father, and the Holy Spirit. Placing ourselves under the blood of the Lamb of God and as the Spirit of God leads, let us do the following today—repent of our national sin and renounce the power it has had over us.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14; NIV)

“He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion.” (Proverbs 28:13; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Identificationally repent for the worship of any false gods or participation in any false religious activities. Use Daniel 9:1-19 as your guide.
  • Repent for any covenant breaking that has occurred on a national level, including the breaking of treaties with the Native Americans.
  • Repent for the sin of the shedding of innocent blood, including the sin of abortion.
  • Repent for any acts of injustice or corruption that have occurred, especially in your city, including slavery and racism. Pray for a healing of the wounding between police officers and the African American community.
  • Repent of rampant sexual sin, such as pornography, sex trafficking, forced public acceptance of alternate forms of sexuality by various governments and immorality in general.
  • Renounce the above activities and agree for the breaking and cancellation of every curse that became active as a result of the above activities.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we humbly ask You to forgive us our national sin. We, Your Church, are not innocent. We repent of idolatry and the worship of false gods and participation in the worship of gods other than You. We repent for the nation’s breaking of multiple covenants with the native Americans. We repent of the sin of abortion and the shedding of innocent blood. We repent of all acts of injustice and corruption in our communities. Forgive us for the sin of racism, specifically, and for not loving others as we want to be loved and accepted. Forgive us of every form of sexual sin and for not honoring you with our bodies. We repent for our federal and state governments and school boards forcing the citizens to accept forms of sexuality that are not acceptable to You, Lord. We, Your Church, renounce all of these sins and ask You to remove any curses that have come upon us as a result of our national rebellion against You and Your Word. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Today’s decree:

Today, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ humbly repents for our national sin and renounces all acts against the Word of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

An Exceptional Season!

The body of Christ is in an exceptional season. There is so much going on in the earth and we are being challenged to pray like never before. Our enemy is raging; turmoil and confusion are rampant. In seasons such as this, it is imperative we keep our eyes and hearts focused on the Lord and His plan. The Church is entering her greatest hour. And the key to our victory—in all that we are facing and all that lies ahead—is greater intimacy with Him.

“I repeat, be strong and brave! Don’t be afraid and don’t panic, for I, the LORD your God, am with you in all you do.” (Joshua 1:9; NET)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Make Joshua 1:9 your prayer in this season.
  • Sit still for a minute and make your mind think about how kind and caring He is. Feel His closeness. Tell Him how you feel about His love and care for you as if He is right there with you.
  • Proclaim His greatness over the nation. Proclaim that this is the finest hour of the Church and that we will be victorious. Proclaim a great move of God in the nation!

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, make me strong and brave! Grant me a grace to overcome fear and still my heart, so that no matter what happens around me panic does not set in over me and my family. I thank You that You are with me in all that I do! Lord, as I meditate on Your love and care for me and my family, my heart is stilled. Any anxiety I feel melts away in Your presence. I never want to move away from this place of intimacy with You. You are great, Lord! You are the only God over our nation! A great move of God is coming to America and You will see Your beautiful Church shine and be victorious! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

The Lord makes His Church strong and victorious, so that He can be revealed in this nation when times are troubled!

Finishing the Work

In 1865 the 13th Amendment to the Constitution was passed, which abolished slavery in the United States. On August 6, 1965, the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was passed. This Act of Congress made it illegal to give special tests to African Americans when they registered to vote. These tests were designed to keep them from voting, primarily in the South, also known as The Bible Belt. Why should it take more than 100 years for a people to be truly free in America? Even today, racism abounds in the United States and in the Church in America.

“Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.” (Luke 6:31; MEV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Let the reality noted above shock you. 100 years for a people to be set free in an area of basic freedom in the United States of America—the freedom to choose those that would govern them.
  • Repent on behalf of the Church, as it is commonly said that Sunday morning is the most segregated day of the week. Reality is that the area of the nation that most identified as Christian, the South, held onto racist actions, such as denying the vote, the longest.
  • Pray that racism would end in America, for the sake of the Native Americans, the African Americans, Hispanics and other cultures. Intercede strongly for the love of God to break all racial barriers down, beginning with the Church and that we would treat one another as we would want to be treated.

A prayer you can pray:

Forgive us, Jesus. Forgive the Church. Racism should have no place at all in the Body of Christ or in areas where we have influence, such as in the southeastern United States. No people group should have to struggle 100 years or more for basic respectful treatment. Lord, forgive us! We should be leading the way and showing the world what love looks like, not leading the way to keep others from equal treatment under the law! Father, break out hearts, as we know Yours breaks when we do not treat each other as You would treat us. Racial reconciliation and mutual respect between people of different races must begin with the Church! Amen.

Today’s decree:

God has made us all in His image and we must not deny one another access to Him or to governance in this nation.

We are the Salt for the Nation

“According to Scripture and what Paul is instructing Timothy in his letter, it’s ‘we’ not ‘they’ that have sinned. It’s we that are responsible for the state of our nation, not sinners. What Scripture teaches is that the church is the salt of the earth, and it’s when the salt loses its savor that ungodly men are able to trample over it. Again we need to understand that the state of the union is contingent on the state of the church, and the state of the church plays directly upon the state of the union. It’s the will of God that a nation has godly, good government, that the gospel might be preached and salvation may freely come to all. We play an important part.”1 (Sid Roth)

“You are like salt for the whole human race. But if salt loses its saltiness, there is no way to make it salty again. It has become worthless, so it is thrown out and people trample on it.” (Matthew 5:13; GNT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • This is pretty profound if you think about it—we are the salt of our nation. Stop and ponder this.
  • Identificationally repent on behalf of the Church that we have clearly lost our saltiness. Ask the Lord to restore it!
  • Our government depends on a Church being active out there in government and in humbly standing for righteousness and holding our elected officials accountable. Pray for your elected officials from the President to your Congressmen, state elected officials and city Councilmen and women.
  • Visit a city council meeting or other city board and learn how government works. Take an official out for coffee and learn about how your city is governed.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, You designed Your Church to be salt in the earth. You designed us to make people thirsty for You and Your ways. We should be impactful, but we are often scorned and mocked and religiously thought that was a good thing. Often the reason we are mocked is not because the world is convicted of sin, but because we don’t know what we are doing or what we are talking about when it comes to government matters. Forgive us, Lord. Restore our saltiness! Teach us how to impact government by understanding it – what makes good government and what is truly wrong that needs corrected! Open doors for relational learning, Lord. Amen.

Today’s decree:

The Church will regain its saltiness and impact government in new and powerful ways!

Determining Your Preappointed Boundaries

“The Apostle Paul stood up in front of a group of philosophers in a pagan city and preached this amazing message found in Acts 17:26, “God has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings so that they should seek the Lord…” You were chosen and appointed to live in a particular time and place; the boundaries of your nation were set from before the beginning of time in order that man might seek and find the Lord! Your attitude and in fact your involvement as an intercessor and Spirit-filled Christian in and toward the purposes of God in your nation is a major part of your own spiritual destiny and inheritance.”1 (Sid Roth)

God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause Your face to shine upon us, that Your way may be known on earth, and Your salvation among all nations. Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations on earth.(Psalm 67:1-4)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Pray Psalm 67:1-4.
  • Thank the Lord that He has “preappointed your boundaries.” This means it is no accident that you live where you live. Thank Him for the city you live in, the state, the region (the part of America you identify with—Northeast, South, Eastern Seaboard, Midwest, West, Mountain States, Southwest, West Coast, Northwest, etc.) Thank Him that you have an assignment in that region. Ask Him what it is!
  • Ask the Lord to connect you with others that pray in your city, state and region. Think beyond your local church. Do a little research and find a group you can join that is praying in the area of your assignment as you understand it from the Lord. You might get on their email list or find they have a conference call you can jump in on. Or, make you own and start building your prayer tribe.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, as I pray Psalm 67:1-4, I praise You and thank You that You are the Judge over all and You govern the nations with righteousness! As Your child, I get to govern together with You by interceding together with others and setting the spiritual atmosphere over my city, state, region and nation. You have set the boundaries of that governance by positioning me in the place that I live. Help me to find those who are praying for my areas of influence, so that I can join them and we can together make a difference in our part of the nation. In Jesus’ name, amen!

Today’s decree:

My spiritual boundaries were preappointed by the Lord and I will accept the assignment given by Him to intercede for the area He has placed me in!

Humble Intercession for the Nation

“Now saints, this is astounding. If we have confidence in the word of God and in Him, He guarantees good government in a nation. He guarantees a place where we can live peaceable and quiet lives in all godliness and honesty. It’s simply dependent on what we do. The Hebrew (in the verse below) literally says, ‘My people upon whom My name rests.’ If you call yourself a Christian, you are applicable as an ambassador of the Lord to be one who is directly influencing and responsible for healing in your land. Christians pray in the name and authority of Jesus.”1 (Sid Roth)

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14; KJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • The first step in praying for the nation is to humble oneself. Pride gets angry or feels entitled and “right”. That’s anything but righteous! Go to God and humble yourself before Him.
  • Thank the Lord that this nation is a relatively safe place to live where we can still worship God freely. Tell the Lord you want this freedom to continue.
  • Realize that when you come to Him in prayer for the nation, you are carrying along with you millions of people who may not know how to pray and who may not know God. Acknowledge that this intercession is a serious assignment.
  • Ask the Lord to forgive our sin and heal our land.

A prayer you can pray:

Dear Lord, Father God, I humble myself before You as I come to pray on behalf of my nation. Forgive my prideful attitude at times. I acknowledge that it is You alone who can truly shift this nation. Hear my prayers, Lord. I ask you to grant us a grace for continued freedom to worship You in America. I ask You for more time to share the gospel. I pray that You would forgive our sin and heal our land. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

God will grant good government to America, if we will humbly pray, seek His face and turn away from our sin.

Battleground “Supreme Court”

The Supreme Court is a spiritual battle ground. Justice Antonin Scalia died earlier this year. Justice Ginsburg is 83, and she has had colon cancer and pancreatic cancer, as well as a weak heart. Justice Kennedy is 80. Justice Breyer is 78. The next President will possibly be able to nominate four justices to the Court over their term in office. Liberal Supreme Court Justices have done more than determine if cases brought before them are Constitutionally correct, but have legislated according to their political leaning in many cases. Your vote will determine how our Court’s future unfolds.

“You shall appoint for yourself judges and officers in all your towns which the LORD your God is giving you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.” (Deuteronomy 16:18; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Pray for the current Supreme Court Justices: Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Justice Anthony Kennedy, Justice Stephen Breyer, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Samuel Alito and Justice Elena Kagan. Do a little research on each of them and get to know them a bit. Your intercession will be more compassionate when you see them as real people, not just government officials.
  • Ask God to grant them wisdom and a passion true justice that lines up with the United States Constitution, our rule of law.
  • Pray for the election of a President that will nominate righteous judges to the SCOTUS.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, I lift up the eight justices currently seated on the Supreme Court of the United States of America: Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Justice Anthony Kennedy, Justice Stephen Breyer, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Samuel Alito and Justice Elena Kagan. I ask you to minister to the deepest needs of their lives, Lord. I pray that any that do not yet know You as their savior and Lord would be given that opportunity before they leave office, Jesus. Grant them wisdom and an understanding of true justice founded on the bedrock of the U. S. Constitution. Please guide us as we elect our next President, that one is chosen who will nominate righteous judges to the bench. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

God, show the Church how to vote, so that righteous judges who honor You and the Constitution of the United States are appointed in the land.
