Dream About a Leaky Camper

I have a friend, Matt Lockett, who had a dream just before the elections. In the dream, President Trump had won. Matt was in a camper with the President who was telling him how he had won the election. Matt knew that the camper represented Trump’s “camp” or administration. Trump went over to lay down on his bunk. A tremendous deluge came over the pillow right where the President’s head would be. His head refers to his authority and government. This massive leak looked like it was almost going to drown him. Then, something the eye could not see diverted the deluge and the leak could not destroy him. Never in a thousand years would I have believed that the number one thing the enemy would use to render the President ineffective to do what the nation needs right now would be leaks! Or, that people in his own camp would be trying to take him out.

“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Declare that the leaks from inside the White House “camp” will be sealed up by the Lord.
  • Ask the Lord to give our President wisdom in his new choices for Cabinet members and staff.
  • Decree that any leakers that are still hidden will be found out and removed.
  • Ask God to help the Ekklesia stay focused and not go on spiritual “witch hunts”. There is a lot of emotion driving intercession right now. Emotion keeps us from seeing and hearing clearly. It keeps us earth bound.
  • Intercede for President Trump’s court appointments to go forward without hindrance. Even let the leaking be a distraction to the media, so our President can get these appointments made.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, it appears that You have placed President Trump in office to shift the courts and get rid of an ingrown political system. Give us a fresh start. Give our President wisdom to make right choices. Give him the right people around him. There’s been a little trial and error, but we know You can step in and show him who he needs on his team, if he will seek You about this. Help the Ekklesia to keep our focus on what You are saying right now, as well. We declare that the leaks will be plugged up! The number one legacy of this president is likely to be his emphasis on placing the right judges on our courts. There has been no group of people in America that have allowed more spiritual poison into America than the judicial system. Help this President out, Lord, so he can shift the courts and shift the political system, while You bring revival to America and shift the moral climate! Amen.

Today’s decree:

I decree that the leaking from the White House will stop and President Trump will be able to do what God has placed him in office to accomplish!

Prayer for Our Military: Training and Preparation for Warfare

“Training and preparation for war are fundamental to success on the battlefield. Training must be structured to address the anticipated challenges of the battlefield upon which the soldier expects to operate. Success and survival will be determined largely by the extent and sophistication of the training programs that are implemented before going into battle. A poorly designed and executed training program will result in loss of life and failure to subdue the enemy. Social experiments in the US military have greatly degraded training programs by using valuable time for non-essential training, thereby sacrificing valuable training time in favor of such things as diversity, tolerance, sexual harassment, and white privilege.” (General Jerry Boykin)1

“Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war….”. (Psalm 144:1; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Ask the Lord to give wisdom to military leaders regarding the wise use of their training time and resources.
  • Pray for these social experiments to be stopped and for no additional social experiments to be done.
  • Pray for a restoration of combat-focused training that will prepare American service members for the rigors of warfare.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, our military leadership needs wisdom for the use of their training time and resources. We say, “Enough with social experiments in this ‘captive audience’.” These are men and women needing trained to fight for the protection of American freedoms around the world. Please help the military to redo their training programs to focus on the essentials once again. We ask for their protection, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

We decree that our military will once again be the best trained in the world and the social experiments are coming to an end.

Retracing the Covenant – Philadelphia

In Philadelphia, we prayed at the Liberty Bell; Carpenters Hall, where the first Continental Congress met; Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was decreed and the second Continental Congress met; and at the original Supreme Court. In these birth places, we reconnected to the root of righteous government and true justice. We also went to Penn Treaty Park where William Penn entered into covenant with Native Americans, a covenant that was never broken, and established the pattern for racial harmony and covenantal faithfulness in our land. This was one of the highlights of our journey, and where we felt that we fully tapped into God’s mercy over America.

“He said, ‘O Lord, the God of Israel, there is no god like You in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and showing lovingkindness to Your servants who walk with You with all their hearts.’” (2 Chronicles 6:14; KJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Declare 2 Chronicles 6:14 back to the Lord as a prayer of Thanksgiving.
  • Thank the Lord for preserving the true history of this nation, and that men sought Him and established our government out of relationship with Him.
  • Pray for President-elect Donald Trump and Vice-President-elect Mike Pence and other new national leaders. Pray protection over them. Pray that they will humble themselves and seek God for direction on how to turn back some of the decisions of the last few years that are not pleasing to God.
  • Ask the Lord to heal racial divides in America, so that we can all move forward together as one. We need the mantle of William Penn to fall on this nation and especially on the Church.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, God of Israel, there is no god like You in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and showing kindness to Your servants who walk with You with all their hearts. We thank You that You keep the covenants You make and You are keeping Your side of the covenants we made with You in our early years as a nation. This gives us so much hope for the future of the United States! We thank You that You have granted us mercy and a second chance to honor You as a nation. Grace President-elect Donald Trump and Vice-President-elect Mike Pence and other new national leaders with an ability to humble themselves, pray and seek Your face for direction before taking action. Give them wisdom and Your strategies to turn back the enemy at the gate and reverse some of the ungodly legislation that we have recently instituted. And, please work a miracle and heal the racial divide in America. We want to be one, even as You are One—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Today’s decree:

The covenants made, government formed and interracial relationships developed at the foundation of our nation will be our future when we humble ourselves and pray, as God is upholding His side of the covenant eternally!

Retracing the Covenant – Boston

In Boston, we reconnected to justice, liberty, and righteous resistance to tyranny. At Faneuil Hall, referred to as “the cradle of liberty,” where some of the most stirring orations calling for freedom were declared, we prayed and agreed with their petitions and decrees. “The edifice was home to merchants, fishermen, and meat and produce sellers, and provided a platform for the country’s most famous orators. It is where colonists first protested the Sugar Act in 1764 and established the doctrine of ‘no taxation without representation.’ Firebrand Samuel Adams rallied the citizens of Boston to the cause of independence from Great Britain in the hallowed Hall, and George Washington toasted the nation there on its first birthday.”1 One could almost feel their passion in this historic place.

“But Peter and the apostles answered, ‘We must obey God rather than men.’” (Acts 5:29; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • To have true liberty, we must be free from tyranny. Our current administration has not been tyrannical by any means, but the laws being passed are so far from pleasing to God they make us feel like we are under tyranny at times. Decree Acts 5:29.
  • Read about Daniel (Daniel 6) and his friends (Daniel 3), as well as Esther (Esther 4-7). As the Lord for revelation and let the Word sink in deep. This is how we should act when governing authorities are asking us to violate the Word and Will of God.
  • Read Romans 13:1-7. This is how we should live when good governance is in place. We should pray for those authority and live according to the law of the land.
  • Thank the Lord that we are moving from darkness to light in our nation right now. Commit to pray for those in authority on a regular basis, so they can get govern well.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we desire freedom from godless laws and statutes in our land. We want to live under laws that line up with Your Word and Your plan for America. We decree, “We must obey God rather than man!” Therefore, Lord, let our new governing authorities make and enforce laws that are pleasing to You. As we review the stories from Daniel and Esther, may we be reminded of the reasons our forefathers rejected the tyranny of King George. Let us learn from their struggle. As we read Romans 13:1-7, remind us that to keep from living under an oppressive government, we must pray diligently for our governing leaders. Grant us a grace to do so with all fervency, Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Today’s decree:

We will pray for our leaders, but always remember, we must obey God rather than men and we will have no King, but Jesus!

GH15 is joining in a national call to prayer before the 2016 Elections:

As One – A National Appeal to Heaven
40 Days of Prayer Walking the Nation

Here is Today’s Focus:

News Media

With the explosion of the Internet in the late 90s and the creation of mobile devices that now allow unlimited access to Internet data and news around the world, Americans literally have endless information at their fingertips. To know what is happening across the globe at the push of a button is now normal to us. However, with the great inundation of information there have also come more opinions, propaganda, and exaggeration in the reporting of news. As believers, we have a great responsibility to shape the culture around us and literally change the news that happens around our nation. Pray that the news media will be flooded with the influence of Christ. Pray that broadcasts, reporters, websites, and online reports will be filled with integrity. Pray that believers will seek out useful information in the news that will help them to pray more effectively for the circumstances impacting our nation and our world. Pray that God would give believers discernment as they watch the news and help them to be guided by His Spirit. Pray that the news media will not use fear tactics nor exaggerations in their reporting to gain better ratings or increase their profits. Pray that broadcasters will use their influence with pure motives and not for selfish gain. Pray that all corruption and falsehood would be replaced with the truth and authenticity of Christ.

Today’s Passages:

Colossians 3:17

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

GH15 is joining in a national call to prayer before the 2016 Elections:

As One – A National Appeal to Heaven
40 Days of Prayer Walking the Nation

Here is Today’s Focus:

Relief:

Removal or lightening of something oppressive, painful, or distressing; things that are given to help people who are victims

2 Thessalonians 1:5-7 (NIV)

“All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering. God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.”

PRAY:

In so many ways, Jesus, you have brought me relief through your grace, and I thank you. I pray that you would draw near to your people this election season and use us to bring your relief to the world around us. May our votes and our participation in this election affect relief, especially for those who are experiencing oppression, pain or distress. Make us your relief for victims in our world today.

GH15 is joining in a national call to prayer before the 2016 Elections:

As One – A National Appeal to Heaven
40 Days of Prayer Walking the Nation

Here is Today’s Focus:

Lenience:

A mild or merciful disposition; a lack of severity in punishing

Psalm 78:35-38 (NIV)

“They remembered that God was their Rock, that God Most High was their Redeemer. But then they would flatter him with their mouths, lying to him with their tongues; their hearts were not loyal to him, they were not faithful to his covenant. Yet he was merciful; he forgave their iniquities and did not destroy them. Time after time he restrained his anger and did not stir up his full wrath.”

PRAY:

Lord, today I ask that you would visit the hearts of your people in America. Reveal to us, oh God, the ways that we have been unfaithful and disloyal. May we be broken before you as we seek your heart for our nation during this election, and may we receive your lenient grace as our hearts are stirred to remember that you alone are our Rock and Redeemer.

Superintending Providence

Affirming the Lord’s governing intervention, Benjamin Franklin said, “All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of superintending providence in our favor.” That same “superintending providence” is available today. In spite of our many flaws and numerous failures, God’s hand has been, and remains, on America. From the first man Adam, to the apostle Paul, history has proven that God uses imperfect people. The same is certainly true of nations. Though America is scarred and flawed, we still possess a divine purpose. Rest assured, the Sovereign, who bestowed purpose on America, knows how to resurrect it.

“Then you and your children will return to the Lord your God, and you will obey him with your whole being in everything I am commanding you today. Then the Lord your God will give you back your freedom.” (Deuteronomy 30:2-3a; NCV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Get on your knees today and thank God for His “superintending providence.” He is watching over us and over America to will and to do His good pleasure according to Philippians 2:13.
  • Thank the Lord that He uses imperfect people and imperfect nations in His ultimate plan.
  • Our place as Believers is to seek Him for how to intercede and how to “see” His sovereign plan unfolding. So, ask Him for instructions and pray whatever He says and do whatever He says, then watch and see what happens.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, we know that Your plan will unfold at the exact right time in the exact right way. We thank You that You involve us in those plans. We thank you that You watch over us and over the nation for Your perfect purpose. We may have been weighed in the balance and found wanting, but that doesn’t stop You from whispering Your directions to us for intercession and action. Move upon us in Your superintending providence, Jesus! Amen.

Today’s decree:

God will surprise us in this nation with His superintending providence! He is not finished with us yet!

Kingdom of God, Come!

When you say, “Kingdom of God, come. Will of God, be,” it will manifest in your home and in your business and in your community, in your state and in this nation. You are an ambassador of the King and you will release His Kingdom authority. In the Greek, these words are in a current command tone. His will will be done! Don’t be afraid. Get out your Bible and start proclaiming!

“Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10; NKJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Read these verses out loud as a current command. Emphasize “come” and “be done”. Feel the difference? This was not Jesus petitioning the Father to do these things. He was teaching us to command the will of God to be done in the earth.
  • To know the will of God and the ways of His Kingdom, look first to His Word: choose life and command abortion to end in this nation; command righteousness to flow like a river through our nation; command justice for the oppressed; command His glory to be seen across America!
  • Command other things that He places on your heart that line up with His will and His Word.

A prayer you can pray:

Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for teaching us how to pray! You did not leave us blind as to what You want us to pray for or how You want us to petition the Father. We ask for forgiveness of our sins and for our daily bread, but we command the Kingdom of God to manifest in the earth! We are enforcing the victory of the cross and resurrection when we pray with this level of confidence and trust in You! Thank you, Lord. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Kingdom of God, come! Will of God, be done in the earth, even as it is in heaven!

A Patriot’s Wisdom – Patrick Henry

“It is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.” (Patrick Henry, March 23, 1776)1

“You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Hope is critical to our faith in God, but hope has a downside – psychological blindness. Ask the Lord to help you look at the condition of our nation with honesty first (truth), to see how dark things truly are. Let yourself weep over it, if need be.
  • Now, ask the Lord to help You see what He plans to do about these dark things. Let hope now arise in your heart that God is able to set things right.
  • Intercede on behalf of the United States from this fresh perspective.

A prayer you can pray:

Dear Lord, help me if I have put the cart before the horse and been hopeful for this nation’s future without comprehending the truth of the mess we are in. I haven’t wanted to really know. I don’t like believing that things are really so bad. Open my eyes and show me how bad things are. Now, renew my hope and show me what You plan to do about it. Show me how to pray that all of Your plans come to pass. (Intercede as He shows you.) In Jesus’ name, amen.

Today’s decree:

The moral condition of the United States is terrible and ugly, but God, You are able to put us back on Your course!
