Binding the Spirit of Delay

Brett Kavanaugh’s Judiciary Committee vote has been moved from this Thursday, 9/20, to possibly next Thursday, 9/27. This allows for a hearing on Monday, 9/24, where he and Christine Blasey Ford will be able to testify under oath regarding Mrs. Ford’s allegations of sexual assault by Judge Kavanaugh when they were in high school. Both sides of the aisle agreed that this is appropriate. Mrs. Ford has not replied to Chairman Grassley’s office as to whether she will attend. Democrats want to extend the invitation to include other witnesses, but Sen. Grassley said the two alone are enough to resolve the matter. Regardless, this is a delay. Judge Kavanaugh continues to maintain his innocence through it all. While being sensitive to Mrs. Ford, one of Satan’s favorite tactics is delay. Politically, Democrats feel this situation could give them the opportunity to push the confirmation past the midterm elections, when they hope to gain a majority of the Senate. If that is the case, they will be in control of who fills the next Supreme Court Justice seat.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” (Proverbs 13:12; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Take authority over the spirit of delay in this situation. Tell it to cease and desist. Say, “The decision of the Senate Judiciary Committee to vote on whether or not to send Judge Kavanaugh to the full Senate for a vote will not be delayed beyond Thursday, 9/27.”
  • Intercede for Christine Ford. Continue to pray that she would know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and that He would heal the effects of any trauma in her life. Pray that she will speak nothing but the truth while under oath.
  • Intercede for Brett Kavanaugh. Pray that truth would be revealed. Pray that he would press into Jesus and find comfort there. Pray protection over the emotions of his wife, Ashley, and daughters, Liza and Margaret.

A prayer you can pray:

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, we take authority over every spirit attempting to delay the placement of a new Supreme Court Justice. The decision of the Senate Judiciary Committee to vote on whether or not to send Judge Kavanaugh to the full Senate for a vote will not be delayed beyond Thursday, 9/27. Both Christine Ford and Brett Kavanaugh should be able to defend their positions under oath on Monday. We pray for Christine, that she would know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, so all of the trauma she has been burdened with by the enemy can be healed. We ask that Brett Kavanaugh would know Christ, seek Him, and find the grace to be 100% truthful about this matter, so the Committee members know what to do. Cover Ashley, Liza, and Margaret with your protective hand, Lord. In Jesus’ loving name, amen.

Today’s decree:

No more delay!

Let the Truth be Revealed

Christine Blasey Ford is the name of the anonymous source of a letter Sen. Dianne Feinstein presented to the FBI last week. Now, there is a name and face to go along with the charges against Judge Brett Kavanaugh. He can now find a frame of reference for the charges. Also now revealed is the name of the other young man involved in her allegations – Mark Judge. Both Judge Kavanaugh and Mr. Judge have denied the allegations against Kavanaugh. The charges are specific and very serious. Judge Kavanaugh said, “This is a completely false allegation. I have never done anything like what the accuser describes to her or anyone. Because this never happened, I had no idea who was making this accusation until she identified herself yesterday.” He went on to say he would like to be able to defend his integrity. A representative of the White House stated that Mrs. Ford should be heard. No woman should ever be subjected to attacks such as she describes in her letter and she should be able to make her complaint under oath. Judge Kavanaugh should be heard, as well, and given an opportunity to face his accuser. Ultimately, the Senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee have to decide how to proceed. Ekklesia, we will appeal to the Judge of the universe who has seen the end from the beginning and who alone knows the entirety of the truth. May it be known in the earth, as well.

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Go to God as Judge of the Earth, our Judge, Lawgiver and King. Ask Him to expose the truth of this matter.
  • If Judge Brett Kavanaugh is innocent, let him be exonerated. If not, let him step down. Pray he does not step down due to intimidation if he is innocent!
  • Intercede for Christine Blasey Ford. Ask God to draw her to Himself and save her if she does not already know Him. She is now known by all of us. What a wonderful opportunity to pray for her salvation. Ask Jesus to heal her from all of the traumas of her life.
  • Pray the same for Mark Judge.
  • Ask God to grant wisdom to the Senators on the Judiciary Committee to know how to proceed, especially Chairman Chuck Grassley.
  • Cover the Kavanaugh daughters in prayer. Ask God to keep them from trauma of these allegations against their dad.

A prayer you can pray:

God, we come to you as Judge of the heavens and the earth. You are our Judge, Lawgiver and King. You alone know all of the circumstances that happen and the motives of the hearts behind them. We need truth in this situation. We want to know for sure if Brett Kavanaugh is who he says he is. Minister to Christine Ford. If she doesn’t know You. We join the multitudes praying for her today. We also ask You to make Yourself known to Mark Judge. Let Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman, Grassley, seek You for wisdom and strategy. If Brett Kavanaugh is innocent, let things move forward on schedule. Keep charge over his children and keep them from the trauma of this situation. In Jesus’ wonderful Name, amen.

Today’s decree:

Let truth be revealed in the Kavanaugh hearings!

Character Assassination

Sometimes the enemy overplays his hand and we can see exactly what he is up to. He showed his hand this week in the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation process. If we weren’t sure that Judge Kavanaugh might be chosen by God to be the next Supreme Court Justice, we might want to reconsider that position now.  Senator Dianne Feinstein let the Senate Judiciary Committee know Thursday, in their scheduled meeting, that she had forwarded an anonymous letter to the FBI for investigation. The letter alleged sexual misconduct by Judge Kavanaugh when he was 17 years old and in high school. The letter arrived in July through the office of Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA). She forwarded it to Sen. Feinstein who made no mention of it until Thursday. “This has all the indicators of an 11th hour character assassination and a desperate attempt to delay and defeat the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh, who has a sterling reputation in his community, his profession, his church and among hundreds of friends, colleagues, and co-workers.”(Carrie Severino)1 A separate letter has since arrived to Committee Chairman Sen. Grassley’s desk. It is from 65 women who said they have known Brett Kavanaugh since high school. “Through the more than 35 years we have known him, Brett has stood out for his friendship, character, and integrity,” the women wrote. “In particular, he has always treated women with decency and respect. That was true when he was in high school, and it has remained true to this day.”2

A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. In the paths of the wicked are snares and pitfalls, but those who would preserve their life stay far from them.” (Proverbs 22:1 and 5; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Intercede for Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Pray that he will be able to stand strong and not give up amidst this attack against his reputation. Just the mention of  horrible accusations can taint our reputation. He will need to rely on God to exonerate him.
  • Ask God to intervene and turn Senator Feinstein back from this course of destruction.
  • Pray for the Senate Judiciary Committee members to seek truth and justice, not political gain.
  • Contact your Senators and let them know how you feel about Judge Brett Kavanaugh as our next Supreme Court Justice.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we bring Brett Kavanaugh before you. He is a fallible human, but it appears he has tried to live his life in an integrous manner in everything he has done. In his personal life, as well as in his professional life, he has been consistent. We ask You to intervene and clean up this mess. Do not let the enemy rob this man of his godly reputation. Senator Feinstein and others responsible for this smear campaign need to be brought to task, Lord. We will leave that up to You, but we do ask You to correct the record against Judge Kavanaugh. Exonerate him and remove any stain or blemish. Let many Christians call their Senators and let them know we are standing with him and want him confirmed as our next Supreme Court Justice. Obviously, the enemy is very afraid of him serving in that office! In Jesus’ holy name, amen.

Today’s decree:

The enemy’s plan to ruin Judge Brett Kavanaugh will be exposed and will fail!

Kavanaugh Hearings – Day 4

This is the last officially scheduled day of the hearings. Senator Grassley can decide to continue them, but that’s doubtful. Those who have had contact with Kavanaugh will give their testimonies of their relationship with him and/or his actions and statements. They will speak both for him and against him. Ultimately, this entire confirmation process will set the nation on a defined course of history. Either Brett Kavanaugh will be formally presented by the Senate Judiciary Committee to the full Senate for a vote or not. If so, the full Senate will consider his nomination in a few weeks and will vote as to whether or not he will take Justice Kennedy’s place on the Court. Continue to intercede for God’s perfect will for this matter until it is completed.

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Take authority over any testimony today that is false or planned to be misleading.
  • Say, “The truth will be heard and justice will be preserved!”
  • Pray for the protection of each one coming to testify.
  • Declare, “The Senators on the Judiciary Committee will see and hear what they need in order to make the right decision for America.”
  • Do not stop declaring that God’s perfect will for the Supreme Court and this nation will come to pass.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, I am sure everyone involved with the Kavanaugh hearings is very tired right now. Grant grace to all, that this set of hearings can be completed well. Let everyone be able to pay attention and learn what they need to learn from them. I pray that the testimony today will be 100% truthful. We take authority over any demonic spirit that would seek to twist the truth for political means. Let Judge Kavanaugh’s good character be intact at the end of this process. Let him and his family go on to live peaceful and fruitful lives. Let the Senators on the Committee decide with a yes or no vote whether to recommend him to the full Senate for a vote. May there be no more delay, one way or the other. Jesus, let Your truth and justice reign in this matter, amen.

Today’s decree:

Truth will be revealed and define the course of history for our nation!

Kavanaugh Hearings – Day 3

Yesterday was a long day of Senate Judiciary Committee members grilling Judge Kavanaugh on about every aspect of his life. They covered his judicial and political philosophies. They explored his judicial background and record. They asked about his tenure as a staff member in the Bush White House and many other things. They drilled down deep, as we knew they would. It has really been informative to be here at the Hart Senate Office Building praying on site with insight. How are you doing? Gaining clarity from Holy Spirit? The day today will be similar to yesterday, allowing each Senator on the Committee a second round of questions. Likely, these will be clarifying things the judge said yesterday. Each Senator will have 20 minutes to ask questions, making the day a bit shorter. Keep up the good work!

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season; its leaf will not wither, and whatever he does will prosper.” (Psalm 1:1-3; MEV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Pray that you and I clearly hear Holy Spirit and know how to pray for Brett Kavanaugh, the Senate Judiciary Committee members, and the future of our nation.
  • Pray that the Body of Christ will not grow weary and stop praying at this point. We need to stay strong on the wall and keep at it!
  • Intercede for the intercessors to avoid falling prey to the political spirit. It is so easy to listen to these hearings and divide along political lines, instead of unite over the Word of God. We must hear clearly!
  • Come against all confusion, protest, witchcraft and demonic attacks in the hearing room. These all cause confusion. We, through our prayers, can keep this stuff at bay, so the decision our nation needs can be made.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, we pray for Dutch and the other leaders and intercessors at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings. Let them hear Holy Spirit clearly. This is not just about seating another justice, but it is about the furtherance of turning this nation toward Your purposes. Strengthen the intercessors. Keep the Ekklesia on the walls, Lord, through the day and into the night. Keep our focus on You. Do not let us be emotionally swayed by the political rhetoric we hear. If we will be able to intercede properly, we have to be able to focus on Christ and Your Word. Keep us pure of heart. We take authority over all of the enemy’s attempts to cause confusion, delay or derail the hearings, throw Judge Kavanaugh off, or simply disrupt. Holy Spirit, descend in Your peace and shalom. Lead, guide, and direct the entire important process. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Today’s decree:

The next Supreme Court justice will be a person who loves God and upholds the U.S. Constitution.

Kavanaugh Hearings – Day 2

This will be a very long day – for Judge Kavanaugh, for the Senators on the Judiciary Committee, and, I hope, for those of us praying, as well. Stay with it, saints. Don’t grow weary. Each of the 21 senators will have 30 minutes to ask questions of Judge Kavanaugh. This means that the meetings could last until 9:30 in the evening. We will continue to be watchful. It is likely to be a very interesting and informative day.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Intercede against tiredness and weariness for Judge Brett Kavanaugh, the Senate Judiciary Committee members, their staffers, and all of the intercessors on site.
  • Pray that these 21 Senators ask the right questions and that they will have ears to hear the answers.
  • Ask God to bless the prayer leaders and intercessors who traveled to Washington, D.C., at great cost to pray for these hearings. Let them see and hear.
  • Ask God to bless all the prayer leaders and intercessors who live and work in Washington D.C., as they daily bear the weight of intercession for our nation. Ask God to refresh them with the new troops working alongside them this week.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, there is a long day ahead of us at this juncture in our nation’s history. We feel the weight of it. It could become a tiring day, both physically and emotionally. We ask for supernatural grace and strength for Judge Kavanaugh, the 21 Senators questioning him, and the staff serving them all throughout the day and into the night. Holy Spirit, especially strengthen the intercessors who have gone to Washington, D.C., some at great cost, to pray onsite with insight. Bless those prayer leaders who live and work there and have welcomed those from other states to join them in prayer this week. Let spiritual eyes see and spiritual ears hear Your heart and Your will for America, Lord. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Grace and strength to all involved in the Supreme Court nomination hearings for Brett Kavanaugh this week!

Kavanaugh Hearings – Day 1

Today will be an introductory day. Senate Judiciary Committee hearings will begin at the Senate Hart building. Each of the 21 Senators on the Committee will have about ten minutes each to make statements in the form of opening remarks. This will give us an idea of how they think and what they may have already discerned about Judge Kavanaugh. The judge spent most of the time since his appointment by President Trump meeting with these Senators, answering their questions and letting them get acquainted with him. Some will still not agree with him politically, and will make statements accordingly. However, this is supposed to be an apolitical position. Don’t let their statements sway you. You are going to be praying and discerning.

“Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10; NHEB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Intercede for all involved today – for strength and soundness of mind.
  • Pray that the statements made about Judge Kavanaugh are fair and true.
  • Bind all falsehoods and lying for political gain from any of the Judiciary Committee members.
  • Pray for prophetic discernment for the Christians who are interceding. We cannot be found at odds with God’s will. We must be in perfect partnership with Him as we pray.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, make us ready for the day ahead. Sharpen our discernment. Grant physical and emotional strength to Judge Kavanaugh and the Senators who will be discussing him before the nation. Many questions have been asked in private, but the answers will now be presented on the public stage. Intervene and keep the political passion to a minimum, or let the people see through it. We bind every force of darkness that would twist and turn words into swords. Let God be God in the midst of the hearings. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Today’s decree:

We will not be shaken by what we see and hear, but God will intervene to give us HIs chosen Justice!

Preparing for the Kavanaugh Hearings

Tomorrow, the actual battle for the Supreme Court will heat up. As I have been telling you all summer, this is a critical week. From the day Justice Kennedy’s retirement was announced until just a few days ago, we have kept this in our thoughts and prayers. For the sake of your children and grandchildren, and the future of America, please don’t ignore this week! I am going there to pray, as are many other concerned ministers and praying saints. We have to hear and know what God is saying about Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Please use GiveHim15 this week to follow along and help us discern the perfect will of God. I will give you a run-down each day of what is planned. Please, please pray!

“Be ready and keep ready, you and all your hosts that are assembled about you, and be a guard for them.” (Ezekiel 38:7; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Prepare yourself in worship to the Lord.
  • Ask the Lord to consecrate your heart, eyes, ears, and mind.
  • Check your politics at the door and filter what you hear through the Word of God.
  • Ask God to give us a person who will open the nation’s gates to life and shut them to a death culture!
  • Declare, “We choose Life!”

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we bow ourselves before You in worship and adoration of Your Son, our Lord and savior, Jesus. Holy Spirit, consecrate our hearts, eyes, ears, and minds, as set apart to Your purposes today. Forgive us our participation with any political spirit. Correct our alignment and make it with You, alone. Line us up with Your Word and Your perfect will for this country. Help us to see what we need to see to effectively join You in intercession for our nation’s future. We desire this nation to choose Life abundantly. We close the door to death and destruction and we choose Life! Thank you, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

We choose Life for our nation and our descendants who will live in this country!

What Do We Do Now?

We must pray like never before. We are in a window of opportunity. The placing of a Supreme Court Justice is not just for the current generation, but for the generations that follow us. We should not make quick judgements about nominees, but we must bathe the entire process in intercession. Until we know that we know, or until the confirmation process is complete, we are not to stop praying. Recently, a fellow friend in the ministry said that he felt no need to pray further, as “Kavanaugh’s confirmation is assured.” It wasn’t that they had received a Word from the Lord about it. It was a statement made from research on the number of votes it would take to confirm or deny Judge Kavanaugh the seat. I thought that was a very interesting comment. There is a spiritual war on for that seat. We should not stop praying until we know God’s perfect person is seated there. It’s not over until it’s over!

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.” (James 5:16b-18; NKJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Ask the Lord to give you grace to continue to intercede for the next Supreme Court Justice until the confirmation process is complete.
  • Intercede for all of the preparations for the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings that are coming up September 4th- 7th.
  • Ask God to stir the Body of Christ to pay attention and pray for this matter, which affects their children and grandchildren and the nation’s future course.
  • Identificationally repent for the Church’s dismissal of the importance of this seat. It can set the composition of the Court solidly for a generation.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, I have been praying for the next Supreme Court Justice for quite some time now. Grace me to not get weary, tired, or want to give up. Grant me grace for the battle until the victory is assured. Give me Holy Ghost insight and passion. Let me see the future my children and grandchildren will have with the right person in place. Increase my faith to believe the corporate prayers of the saints will get the right person there. Do the same for others in the Ekklesia. There are many preparations for the hearings happening now. Let everything get in place. Let everyone be ready with the right information and the right questions for Judge Kavanaugh. Forgive your Body for growing weary in well-doing, Jesus. Sharpen our ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to us. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Intercession will decide who the next Supreme Court Justice is.

Esther Fast for the Supreme Court Begins at Sundown

“While we do not have clarity of revelation concerning the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh, the scriptures charge us to bind (or disallow) and loose (allow) on Earth in cooperation with heaven. We are calling a three-day Esther fast to stand in the gap on behalf of the nation and disallow anyone from being confirmed to the Supreme Court who will not ultimately reverse Roe v Wade. We declare, ‘LIFE’ over the empty seat and reserve it for God’s choice. We urge you to join us – along with thousands of Believers – beginning tonight, the evening of August 18, for a three-day Esther fast.” (Lou Engle)1

“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” (Matthew 18:18-19; NKJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Ask God for supernatural discernment for the Ekklesia who will be fasting and praying regarding Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation. He is a good man and a good judge and he may be the one God has raised up. Bless him and do not pray anything negative against him.
  • Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding, as you pray. Intercede as the Holy Spirit leads, but harm no person in your intercession.
  • Disallow anyone to sit on the Court that is not meant to sit there. Release the seat to the one God has prepared.
  • Declare, “LIFE” over the vacant seat.
  • Prepare for your fast beginning tonight at sundown.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, we feel the weight and the glory as we prepare for these next three days of fasting and prayer. Grant Your Ekklesia the grace of discernment as we intercede. We bless Judge Kavanaugh and say that this is not about a man, but about an open seat on the highest court in the United States. May our prayers be pure of heart and led by Holy Spirit as we lean on You to guide them. We will disallow anyone to sit in that vacant seat that will allow abortion in this nation. We will loose it only to the one that will remove this travesty from our land. We declare, “LIFE” over the empty seat. We will make ourselves ready, even as Esther was made ready. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

We loose “LIFE” over the open Supreme Court seat.
