True Sacrifice

“My only regret is that I have but one life to give for my country.” The man who penned these words, Nathan Hale, was one of the first to give his life for the future of this nation. He gave it willingly just as the nation was being birthed. Monday we will formally celebrate Memorial Day; the day we remember all of those who gave their lives for our freedom from the era of Nathan Hale to today.

“And on that cross Christ freed himself from the power of the spiritual rulers and authorities; he made a public spectacle of them by leading them as captives in his victory procession.” (Colossians 2:15; GNT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Jesus is our role model. He willingly laid down His life for our spiritual freedom. Worship Him!
  • Pray for the families of those who have lost loved ones who died fighting for our freedom.
  • Ask the Lord for a revelation of the spiritual battles being fought, even as physical battles are being fought. The two often go together. Pray for our soldiers in the Middle East.
  • Thank a veteran or two or three that you see today. Post a thank you to social media or make a few phone calls.

A prayer you can pray:

Dear Lord, thank you for Jesus who died for our freedom and established Your Kingdom. Thank you for the brave soldiers who have given their lives for our freedom and established our nation. We are in every way the land of the free and the home of the brave. Grant me a grace to understand the nature of spiritual warfare and how spiritual battles often coincide with physical battles in the earth. I lift up every soldier fighting in the Middle East. Protect them, Lord, and bring them home safely. Give them wisdom to fight well with great success! In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Today’s decree:

I honor those who have given their lives for my freedom!

The Sons of Isachaar

The sons of Isachaar understood the times, so Israel knew what to do. We need to understand the times we are in. We need to know what to do in light of this. “The times” in 1 Chronicles 12:32 is the Hebrew word ‘eth. It means the proper or opportune time for an event to take place. “To know” in the same verse is yada’ and means to gain knowledge by sensing or distinguishing between options. (Tim Sheets)1

“From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.” (1 Chronicles 12:32; NLT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • The sons of Isachaar knew it was time to crown David King. The rule of Saul was over. A knew season had come to Israel. Ask the Lord for the spirit of Isachaar that you may also know the times and what to do.
  • Repent of a spirit of religion that thinks it knows what God is doing. His ways are not ours. He can surprise us!
  • Ask the Lord for an increasing gift of discernment and an ability to gain knowledge by distinguishing between options, not by the outward appearance, but by the Spirit.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, thank you for telling us about the sons of Isachaar and their unique role in Israel. Please give the Church the mantle of Isachaar at this point in history. We need this mantle to help our nation move forward in Your plans. Our religious nature may choose by outward appearance or by what we think You would want for the nation, Lord. Forgive us. While adhering to the Word of God and not deterring from it, we need to discern what You are doing and what this nation really needs to correct its course! Help us, Jesus! Amen.

Today’s decree:

Mantle the Church with the spirit of Isachaar, Lord!

Tradition or Kingdom?

In the recent past, the Church was trying to hold onto tradition instead of embracing the calling to get involved in every sphere of society. Thus, the secular mindset took hold from education to government to media to family. Now, we feel voiceless and like we are in slavery to the world’s systems. But, we can change this!

“How can I picture God’s kingdom? It’s like yeast that a woman works into enough dough for three loaves of bread—and waits while the dough rises.” (Luke 13:20-21; MSG)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Forgive the Church of the past for choosing religious tradition over Kingdom advancement.
  • Repent if you know this has been a way the enemy has trapped you. Tell the Lord you want to be free!
  • Ask the Lord where your heart beats most: family, government, business, education, arts & entertainment or media. Ask Him what practical thing you can do to change that realm of influence.
  • Passionately pray for that realm of influence for a few minutes.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, I forgive the Church of the past for holding tightly to religious tradition instead of getting out in society expressing Your Kingdom to all. Forgive me when I have felt safe and comfortable there myself. Oh Lord, can things change?! Show me where You would have me expanding Your Kingdom. Am I unaware of an area of society that You have created me to influence? Show me! Then, cause my heart to cry out to You in intercession for that realm. (Pray for a few minutes for one of the areas above.) In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Today’s decree:

The Church will find its voice, experience a greater level of freedom, and the nation will change as the yeast of the Kingdom is spread through every aspect of society!

Healing History

God’s plan is always for the present generation to build on the strengths of the previous. This is the synergy of the ages—multiplied power through generational agreement and honor. We must pray intently, in agreement with the appeals of our forefathers and predecessors, in order to see a continuation of what they birthed. And we must actively repent of our wrongs and theirs, allowing God to reach back in time, healing our history so that blessings can flow into our present.1

Then he said, ‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.’ At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. The Lord said, ‘I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey. And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go.’” (Exodus 3:6-9; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Thank the Lord for the saints who have gone before us, generation to generation, at times paying a tremendous price to expand God’s Kingdom in the earth.
  • Repent for the sins of our Christian forefathers who sinned in the process of spreading the gospel.
  • Repent of your own complacency or religious attitudes.
  • Ask the Lord to correct history now and fix what we broke spiritually along the way and get us back on His track as a nation. Tell Him we want to finish the task and cause America to glorify Him!

A prayer you can pray:

Father, thank you for those saints that have gone before us, at times paying a heavy price to stand for Jesus while confronting sin in our nation. Forgive them if they fell into sin and brought reproach on the Church and on Your name. Forgive me when I may have done the same. Hear my prayers and please use me and my generation to correct the past, so that this nation can completely fulfill its calling and glorify You in the earth! In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Today’s decree:

Our repentance today can heal the breaches of history so that Jesus can be glorified in America!

History is Changing

Holy Spirit is marshalling His spiritual armies to change history. We are living in historic times. This third Great Awakening is going to change history. Can you discern it? History is about to change. This move of God is going to change it. Many have prayed and longed for the days we are about to see. Many things will not look the same, but God is our unchanging solid rock!

“It will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” (Joel 2:28-29; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Thank the Lord that when He says He will do something, He will do it! We can count on it!
  • Thank the Lord for the many Believers who have gone before us and have prayed, interceded and travailed for a mighty outpouring of the Lord, yet never saw it. They “prayed the price”. They never lost faith. We are going to reap what they sowed. Be thankful, Church!
  • Ask the Lord to shift government leaders right into the center of His Will. Ask God to cause media to report on the signs and wonders. Command that educational systems open their doors to Him once again. Tell medical practitioners to publicly acknowledge the many miracles they are seeing as the hand of God and not of man.

A prayer you can pray:

Dear Lord, these are the days we have been longing for; the days the prophets foretold. Here comes a mighty outpouring of Holy Spirit, such as we cannot imagine. We thank you that our faith may have waivered in the waiting, but the prayers of the saints before us have propelled us forward until the synergy of the ages has caused a spiritual combustion! We find ourselves in the first days of the third Great Awakening! History in the making! Government – shift into the center of His Will. Media – report on the signs and wonders of God! School systems – open your doors to God-honoring activities! Physicians – acknowledge that what you are witnessing is indeed the hand of God! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Today’s decree:

The third Great Awakening has begun and history will realign!

Convergence of the Armies of God

Greater Kingdom power than has ever been seen in church history will now flow from Christ’s remnant warriors. The world has never seen anything quite like this before, because there is now an alignment of angel armies with the remnant warrior armies of our generation and the warring armies of the coming generation. They will converge together under Holy Spirit supervision to demonstrate that the Kingdom of God has come among us. (Tim Sheets)1

“Come quickly, all you nations from every side, and assemble there. Bring down your warriors, LORD!” (Joel 3:11; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • The prophets foretold a time when the armies of God in the earth and the armies of heaven would come together and fight a spiritual battle together for the advancement of God’s Kingdom. Rejoice for this is that time!
  • Expect God to heal you and your loved ones if sickness is holding you back! He needs a healed army!
  • Expect God to cancel your debt if your financial situation is holding you back! He needs an army that is not distracted by earthly concerns!
  • Expect God to minister to the relationships you are in if they are out of alignment with His best! He wants a unified warring Bride!
  • Expect national breaches to be mended! He wants the nations to glorify Him!

A prayer you can pray:

Father, give us greater faith even as we pray today! You are aligning the synergy of the ages to correct history and get it on track with Your Word and Your plan. You are bringing together angel armies with your warring saints—those living currently and those coming up behind us. Make us fully ready. Heal us, deliver us, unify us and align us! Show us now how to move forward as one in faith to advance your Kingdom in this nation and the nations of the earth! It is time! In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Today’s decree:

The armies of heaven and the saints are aligning as one so that Your Kingdom will come and Your Will will be done in the earth!

The Odds Are in Our Favor

I had to learn that the odds are never against me. The odds are always in our favor. The Church can’t go by natural statistics. It seems like everything we do the odds are against it. Do it anyway! It will give you confidence to face hell’s kingdom and its evil strategies. The greatest days in church history are not in our past, they are in our present and in our future. (Tim Sheets)1

“And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.” (1 John 5:5; NLT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Ask the Lord to forgive you if you have felt like things are so stacked against the Church and biblical values in this nation that there is no God-way out.
  • Thank the Lord that He has won, does win and will win every battle. He has plans we don’t know!
  • Ask the Lord to share His plans with you. Boldly ask Him to give you a fresh new faith to do the impossible with Him. Ask Him for a spiritual job to do that is bigger than you. Stretch your faith as you pray and act.

A prayer you can pray:

Dear Lord, the way things look right now in this nation challenges my faith. It looks like things are getting darker and farther away from anything that could be pleasing to You. Forgive me for forgetting who You are and what You have done and have planned. Keep me in Your Word. Give me greater faith to confront the enemy in prayer and works. Give me something to do that stretches my faith! You are moving and I want to be a part! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Today’s decree:

The greatest days in the history of the Church and this nation are before us!

A Kingdom Ekklesia Move of God

The Church is going to do some new things in some brand new ways. Hell is going to face, like it has never faced possibly in 2000 years, a Church founded on the faith of the prophets and apostles. It’s going to face a Kingdom Ekklesia that is now functioning in Kingdom government. There has never been a Kingdom-of-God move like this—from glory to glory to glory to glory! (Tim Sheets)1

“So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord–who is the Spirit–makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” (2 Corinthians 3:18; NLT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Jesus was a threat to hell and we should be also. Ask the Lord to change you in a greater degree into the image of Christ and all that means—greater grace, greater reflection of God’s glory, greater anointing, greater miracles, and greater threat to hell!
  • Bring your greatest fear for our nation to the Lord. Now, ask the Lord to give you a scripture, the sword of the Lord, to defeat this fear. Declare that scripture over the situation and keep declaring it until faith rises up and you are prophetically decreeing it.
  • Proclaim that you are a part of the Kingdom Ekklesia. Pray for others you know who love the Lord. Pray that they will rise up and learn to pray boldly as a part of the Kingdom Ekklesia, as well.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, Jesus is our example and way-maker and He was a major threat to hell while He walked the earth, and He still is! Form us into the image of Christ and cause us to rise up in Kingdom revelation and Kingdom power to defeat the enemy in this nation. Use me to overcome the darkness! Put a sword of scripture in my heart and in my mouth and cause me to wield it to change things! I pray for my family and friends who know You that they would rise up unafraid and unashamed and with boldness to confront the enemy, as well. Amen.

Today’s decree:

There has never been a people more filled with faith, igniting a Kingdom move of God like this one!

He Who Has Ears

In Revelation 2 and 3 the Word says repeatedly, “He that has an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.” The Message version says it this way, “Are your ears awake? Then listen!” There has never been a day quite like the days we have now entered. There has never been a move of God like the one we will now see where millions upon millions of prodigals will return and where there will be millions upon millions of new converts to Christ. (Tim Sheets)1

“If you have ears, then listen to what the Spirit says to the churches!” (Revelations 2:7a; GNT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Holy Spirit is blowing His Wind of revival and transformation across the nation! It has already begun! Rejoice and tell God you are excited to be a part of this move of God!
  • Sit and intensely listen for God to speak to you. Let Him whisper scripture to you or give you a picture of what He’s doing. Maybe He will give you someone to pray for or show you a situation with specific instructions to pray and/or act. Pray the way He shows you to for a few minutes. Write down any instructions.
  • Thank Him in advance for the return of the prodigals. Pray for the lost again today. Name every one you can think of that needs to return to the Lord or come to know Him for the first time. Pray the way Holy Spirit leads you to.

A prayer you can pray:

Father! We are in such exciting days! Tune my ears to hear your Holy Spirit! I want to hear clearly and partner with You in Your activities! I want to sit and listen carefully for Your prayer direction. I want to hear Your clear instruction for action! I am watching intently for the prodigals to return by the millions, just as the prophets have foretold! I pray for every lost soul I know right now (with great faith stirred up, name them all!) Amen! Amen! Amen!

Today’s decree:

Let every Believer hear the Holy Spirit clearly and know how to pray and act and participate in this great move of God!

Believing the Future Into Being

As Walter Wink so eloquently states, we are forming the future today. “History belongs to the intercessors, who believe the future into being. If this is so, then intercession, far from being an escape from action, is a means of focusing for action and of creating action. By means of our intercessions we veritably cast fire upon the earth and trumpet the future into being.”1 Let’s go get our future!

“Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. ‘For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.’” (Matthew 18:19-20; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Want to change history? Commit to the Lord to be an intercessor! Grab a friend or two, even over the phone, and pray together a few minutes a day. Get a journal and write down what you pray, then watch for answers in the news!
  • Intercession is prayer and action. Start with prayer today over an issue the Lord has placed on your heart. Ask the Lord what you can practically do to change it. Do that!
  • Now, sit a minute and let the Holy Spirit show you what the future can look like in our nation. Intercede with passion that the way things are now will line up with what He has just shown you.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, I want to be a history maker, so make me an intercessor! Give me Your prayer assignments for this nation. Show me who I can invite to pray with me on a regular basis. As we record our prayers, give us answers in the news! We want to record the activities of heaven as You intervene in our nation and literally change the course it is on. Alter history as we pray, Lord! Line things up with Your perfect Will and destiny for America! In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Today’s decree:

The intercessors will believe the future of our nation into being and I want to be one of them!
