From These Shores the Gospel Shall Go Forth

In 1606, the Susan Constant sailed from England to the New World. Landing at Cape Henry, Pilgrim chaplain Robert Hunt declared, “from these very shores the Gospel shall go forth to not only this New World, but the entire world”. While we don’t look for a savior in any political personality or system, the Bible advocates good government, because it will allow the word of the Lord to run swiftly. Isaiah 32:1-8 is primarily a millennial passage but there are applications for today. These verses should be prayed and declared for our own government. Whenever righteous government is in place, the word of the Lord moves swiftly through the land, is understood, and is glorified.

America is not God’s answer to all the world’s problems, but the freedoms this nation has protected for hundreds of years have allowed us to send missionaries to the ends of the earth with the REAL answer. It is imperative for Christians to engage in the political process to conserve the liberties that are subtly threatened in today’s geopolitical environment. (Kelsey Bohlender)

“Behold, a king will reign righteously and princes will rule justly. Each will be like a refuge from the wind and a shelter from the storm, like streams of water in a dry country, like the shade of a huge rock in a parched land. Then the eyes of those who see will not be blinded, and the ears of those who hear will listen.” (Isaiah 32:1-3; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Pray that the Lord would grace us with a righteous government to be established in America.
  • Ask the Lord for a President-elect who respects and defends religious liberties.
  • Intercede on behalf of the nation, that His covenant with this land would be renewed and the Gospel would go forth from American shores in greater measure than ever before!

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we ask for a righteous government to be established in America. We realize You are working with men and women who may not know You as their personal Savior, but we know You can turn their hearts like a watercourse and cause their decisions to be just and righteous. We ask for a President and other elected officials who will govern this way, as well as protect our religious liberties, so that we can continue to expand the Kingdom in the earth. Lord, send us in greater numbers and power than ever before form these shores to the nations of the earth! We want to glorify You, Jesus! Amen.

Today’s decree:

We choose to elect leaders who will rule the United States of America with justice and righteousness, pleasing the Lord, so that Believers can be free to expand His Kingdom to all the nations of the earth from these shores.

Root of Mercy

“I have tapped into the root of mercy.” That moving phrase rang forth from Dutch in the dream of a Colorado intercessor. Just 3 days prior to the “Retrace the Covenant Tour”, while watching the Appeal to Heaven Conference online, a prophetic pastor in Missouri saw coins raining down all around Dutch. On each coin was imprinted the word MERCY. While standing ankle deep in coins, Dutch looked up and said, “Mercy is our new currency.” Fulfilling a prophetic word to visit 7 cities in 7 days, our team embraced the language of mercy as we traveled the east coast, retracing the covenant our forefathers made with God in the founding of America. “The LORD your God is a merciful God. He will not abandon you, destroy you, or forget the promise to your ancestors that he swore he would keep.” (Deuteronomy 4:31; GWT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Get down on your knees, place your hands on the ground and thank the Lord for the deep root of His mercy toward your life and toward this nation. Thank Him that He has not abandoned us in our sin and iniquity, but He is merciful, holding back judgement in honor of His covenant with our forefathers and hearing the intercession of His Saints.
  • Reinforce the mercy cry of those 7 days by crying out again today, “Have mercy on America, Son of David!”
  • Act on this by expressing love, kindness, grace and mercy everywhere you go today. Watch what happens as you open the floodgates of mercy in this land.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we are thankful for your mercy to us in the United States of America. We deserve judgement for our iniquitous national choices and actions, but you have responded with mercy instead. We are overwhelmed with Your love and grace. We ask that mercy would triumph over judgement in our nation. Have mercy on America, Son of David!
Let us not retaliate in fear and anger to challenging situations, but rather, grace us to show forth Your kindness and mercy each day, spreading Your love throughout this land. In Jesus’ merciful name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Mercy will triumph over judgement in America as God honors the covenant He made with our forefathers and as we remember Him!

Reformation Day

Some of you are participating in Halloween today, but did you know it is Reformation Day? This is the day that Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of All Saints Church in Wittenberg, Germany, in 1517 – almost 500 years ago today—and the Protestant reformation began. Now, that’s something to celebrate! While certainly long before the United States of America was in existence, it began the battle for religious freedom that prompted many to come to America’s shores—escaping religious oppression. That freedom of religion is a very precious and foundational right to Americans and it is being threatened more every day.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:17; NIV)

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Thank the Lord that the Constitution of the United States guarantees the free exercise of religion in America.
  • Repent on behalf of government leaders at the federal and state levels who are attempting to restrict religious freedom in America. Ask the Lord to forgive us as a nation for again rejecting Him and attempting to remove Him from U.S. society.
  • Cry out to God for His presence and to help us know how to pray and what to do to maintain our freedom of religion in this nation.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we thank you that America’s establishment document, the Constitution of the United States of America, guarantees us the freedom to worship You without government intrusion. Lord, there are government leaders who desire to restrict our freedom of worship to the four walls of the church and to fully remove You from the rest of society. Forgive us as a nation for this mindset. We look to You and You alone to reverse this trend and secure our ability to worship You anywhere we want, any time we want and in any way that is pleasing to You! Show us how to pray and what to do to maintain and increase our freedom of worship in America. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

We will freely worship the Lord everywhere, all the time and in every situation across this nation!

Media

(Radio, Television, Print, and Internet)

The impact of all forms of media in the American culture cannot be overemphasized. Whether it is the print media (newspapers and magazines), television, radio, or the rapidly spreading influence of the Internet and all forms of social networking, media should be an object of our daily prayers. This is why you will see this on our daily list for focused prayer as one of the “seven spheres of influence.” Today we will take added time to concentrate our prayers specifically on this vital focus. Pray that God will use publishers of newspapers and magazines as well as Internet websites to report in such a manner that is ethically and morally sound. Ask that God will redeem the media to advance His Kingdom. Claim the same for the television industry. Ask that God will continue to use radio in a significant way to spread the Gospel globally. Especially pray for the growing influence of the Internet and social networking. Pray against the spread of pornography on the Internet and that God will cause those who “surf” the Internet to come upon godly websites that draw them to salvation in Jesus Christ.

“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. Justice

(The Courts and Judges of America)

Justice is defined as “the upholding of what is just, especially fair treatment in accordance with honor, standards, or law.” It is to “treat adequately, fairly, or with full appreciation.” The judicial branch of the government is clearly an influential authority in America. Their decisions touch the life of every citizen and, when functioning properly, help protect individuals from exploitation, settle disputes, and punish criminals who break the law. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you areas in your own nation or community where justice is desperately needed. Pray specifically for areas of the government that you know to be lacking in administering true justice to people. As followers of Jesus we should be model citizens who, “Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked” (Psalm 82:3-4, NKJV). Pray that God will raise up more Christian judges and lawyers in America who are guided by honesty and truth.

“My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. Steadfastness:

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”

PRAY:

Jesus, I praise you today for your steadfastness. I thank you that regardless of the outcomes of this election, we have your hope to anchor our souls, sure and steadfast. No matter the policies or leaders put in place this November, we can trust in the steadfastness of your kingdom and your sovereignty. I pray that you would remind your people of your steadfastness as we participate in the political arena this year.

Retrace the Covenant Tour

The “Retrace” team was in Boston yesterday. They sent word from Faneuil Hall, Boston: “Bostonians expressed their dissent here against oppressive policies during the years leading up to the American Revolution. Boston’s Samuel Adams, a second cousin of John Adams, was one of the better-known voices of liberty from oppression. Persuasive speeches and writings from here were carried throughout the colonies and brought them unity to the movement.”

“But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.” (James 1:25; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Let the voices of freedom rise in this land, even as they did in Boston prior to the Revolutionary War.
  • Call for the speeches and writings of a fresh birthing of national freedom to ring throughout the land once again!
  • Prayerfully uncap the wells of liberty in this nation and release a new “sons of liberty” movement across the land. This will not be a political movement, but one of Believers rising up to say that this nation is one that will honor the Lord!
  • Declare, “There is no king but Jesus!”

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we are so encouraged to hear of the words and deeds of our forefathers as they established this nation in covenant with You. May our voices rise, as theirs did, with a cry for God-fearing freedom in this land. Lord, raise up another generation of “sons of liberty” speaking and writing and uniting a nation under the banner of the cross. We declare this land free, and our laws just and righteous! We decree that we are free to spread the Gospel of the Kingdom from sea to shining sea! We have no king but King Jesus, alone!

Liberty and Freedom

(Issues of Human Rights and Individual Freedoms)

One of the most important of the “seven spheres of influence” involves government and politics. People around the world are willing to lay down their lives for the freedoms expressed in the United States’ Declaration of Independence in 1776: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Pray that we, as Americans, do not forget that the freedoms and liberties we experience are gifts from God that can be lost if we turn our backs on Him. Pray that God will intervene in America’s national and local governments in ways that promote individual freedoms. Pray that more devoted, righteous people will seek and be elected to public office, thus helping provide a moral compass for their communities and nations, for where there is no vision, the people perish (Proverbs 28:18).

Romans 8:19-21

“For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.”

Finding the Old Covenant Roads

The “Retracing the Covenant Tour”, which Chuck Pierce prophesied to Dutch, began yesterday. Dutch will be retracing the places where God made covenant in America. There are a total of 13 on our team praying together from city to city and state to state over the next few days. Below is each city where they are going to pray:

Washington D.C.

Thank you for covering the team and each city in prayer.

Father, we are very sure You founded this nation for Your purposes. Time and again the people you sent here, full of faith and vision from You, dedicated and recommitted this land to You. They suffered great hardships to carry out Your will, they bowed their knees in prayer, they erected crosses and built altars of thanksgiving to You, and they recorded it all in various documents. This nation is Your idea and we will travel back to these places of dedication and covenant and redig the wells, Lord. Thank you for leading this team so clearly. May they do Your full and perfect will on this journey. Keep them safe and well. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
