Who’s Contending for Our Freedom?

President Trump said some things at the White House dinner for evangelical leaders that I think are important for us to know. “He said, ‘I have done some things for me and my family that were also done for you.’ There are decisions he made about Jerusalem. He made decisions about attacking the social media’s attack against conservatives. He’s clearly done these things for us, not just his family. When he said that the midterm elections in November ‘will be a referendum on your religion,’ it was pure Cyrus out of the Bible saying to the Jews, ‘I’m standing in the gap for your faith. Are you standing in the gap for your faith? I’m fighting for you guys. Are you fighting for you guys?’ We need to contend for the faith that has been given to us. We need to contend for our freedom. Trump said, ‘This will be a referendum on your religion.’ With that he added, ‘It’s a referendum on free speech and the first amendment (to the Constitution).’ Your free speech is already being broken by the platforms we are on—the social media platforms. ‘You’re one election away from losing everything you’ve got,’ Trump said. Wake up, Church! You’re one election away. We must get this out across our networks. Nobody else is going to raise up the trumpet!” (Lance Wallnau)1

Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.” (Jude 1:3; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Ask Holy Spirit to stir up passion for Him in the heart of every Christian pastor and leader.
  • Say, “Where there is resistance to Holy Spirit, Lord, raise up new leaders. We call them forth from every sector of society. Even if they don’t see themselves as leaders, give them the authority to act on Your behalf. Tell them what to do and say, and protect these obedient ones.”
  • Contend for signs and wonders, personally, for others, in the earth, and governmentally.
  • Cry out for mercy for our nation! Cry out for unity among the brethren! Cry out for confidence and boldness to fall on the Church in America!

A prayer you can pray:

“God, it is time for Christian pastors and leaders in America to become passionate! If the leaders do not respond to the prompting of your Holy Spirit, then you will raise up new leaders, as You did in America’s first revolution. You took ordinary farmers and merchants and bankers and others and you put them in positions to contend with the reins of history. Raise up the completely new voices that are honest and earnest and anointed to cause a coalition of power to come together. Jesus will be made magnificent. Give us signs and wonders. Stretch out Your hands as You did in the Book of Acts. Perform the supernatural and assist us. We cannot do this without You. We ask for an extension of mercy over America for the sake of Your Church, for the sake of Israel, and for the sake of the nations. Let there be a trumpeted warning that echos, even reverberates, in each of our hearts that we are right now entering a critical season. Like in the feast of Purim (Book of Esther), we must spiritually arm ourselves and go forth and contend for the right to exist, as a people in our own nations. I pray for a confidence and boldness to fall on the American Church. May we become a united movement, in the name of Jesus. Amen.” (Lance Wallnau)2

Today’s decree:

We will wake up and contend for freedom in this nation to freely express our faith!

A Prophetic Warning From Our President

“Our movement of Christians is so scattered, fragmented and siloed off  through ambition and the autonomy of Christian leaders. We are so concerned about our mailing lists and our donor base, that we don’t have a mechanism for coherent communication and messaging like our opponents do. We have got to change this.” President Trump held a dinner for evangelical leaders at the White House this last Monday night. “President Trump was not saying he was a Christian, like us. After he asked the press to leave the room, he said, ‘The (upcoming) elections are a referendum on your religion.’” “He is saying, like a Cyrus, ‘I am here to protect you. I am here to help you. I believe in you. I believe what you are saying is good for the country. This is going to be a dangerous time. A persecution is dangerously on the horizon for you Christians. It is not a question of like or dislike, the opposition is going to turn over everything we have done. They are going to do it quickly and violently.’ You see, he knows the rage, the animus, and the hatred that is trying to destroy him and his family. He said, ‘There is a level of hatred that is just unbelievable.’” (Lance Wallnau)1

As they serve between the porch and the altar, let the priests and ministers of the LORD weep and pray: ‘Spare your people, Lord, and do not make your heritage a disgrace so that nations ridicule them. Why should they say among the people, “Where is their God?””” (Joel 2:17; ISV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Ask the Lord to pour His zeal out on you and His Church.
  • Pray for harvest—of souls, votes, influence, persuasion, and spiritual authority.
  • Call for the release of the angels to help us! Ask the Lord to send them to wherever spiritual harvest is ready.
  • Ask for angelic assistance where the Body of Christ needs to wake up and war for the future of their state and this nation.
  • Say, “The gates of hell cannot prevail against the Bride of Christ!”

A prayer you can pray:

“Lord, we ask for the zeal of the Lord of Hosts to touch the hearts of the Body of Christ. Create a wineskin out of us, a net, that will be able to let division and differences pass through, but which will capture our hearts. We need a harvest of hearts, a harvest of votes, a harvest of influence, a harvest of persuasion. Give us a harvest of spiritual authority that commands angels to assist us. Give us an authority that rends the veil that is over the mind of America. Tear off that veil! Loose angels that will move in every single congressional district in every single state that is a battleground state. I say that the battle will shift in the heavens over those states! The footsteps of the Believers there are going to be thundering and echoing in the corridors of hell. Raise up a people that are not going to be asleep in the garden as the disciples were. In Jesus’ name, amen.” (Lance Wallnau)2

Today’s decree:

The Body of Christ will link arms in unity, so the battle for the nation can be won!

The Lord God Loves Us All!

Today, we declare it is the responsibility of the church to lead in eliminating racism, prejudice, and division in our society. As believers in Christ, we take our stand against racism in all its forms and declare that it has no place in our lives. We repent of racism and break all agreement with it. As believers in Christ, we take our stand against dead religion in all its forms and declare that it has no place in our lives. We repent of dead religion and break all agreement with it. Today, we command an end to the authority of the spirits of racism and religion that have influenced our churches, politics, economics, civic organizations, our city, our state, and nation. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that all other spiritual authority is broken and the authority of the Kingdom of God is established. We declare the strongholds of racism and religion have come down never to be established again.

Opening his mouth, Peter said: ‘I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him.’” (Acts 10:34-35; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • We declare that God is raising up a new generation of believers who will no longer comply with any form of racial prejudice, cultural disunity, or divisive religion, but will live compelled by the love of God expressing the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • We declare that cultural reconciliation is established today.
  • We declare that Christian unity is established today.
  • We declare that both the righteousness and justice of God is established today.
  • We declare today, that a new day of racial reconciliation and revival has dawned, throughout our churches, our city, our state, and the nation.

A prayer you can pray:

(Today, make the declarations in the prayer points above.)

Today’s decree:

We decree that America will be the nation where it is shown that every person of any race is welcome in Christ!

The Atlanta Covenant

“Racism in any form is a grave sin against God and man. Mankind is made in the image and likeness of God. Racism stands vehemently against this truth by attempting to subjugate, suppress and destroy His image in humankind. Like all sin, racism is destructive, divisive, and ultimately demonic. It is never benign, respectable, or acceptable. Because the Church of Jesus Christ has been complicit in the sin of racism, the Church must now repent of racism and take a stand against all of its forms and expressions. Racism has no place in our lives, families, churches, government, or nation. Each culture and ethnicity is made in God’s image, all stemming from Adam and Eve, and therefore bearing inestimable, God-given value. We recognize that religion has been used as a means to affirm and support racist ideologies. Today, as the Church of Jesus Christ, we repent of racism and reject any ‘religious movement’ that embraces it. The church of Jesus Christ must express the values of love, unity, empathy, and forgiveness, which are critical components of the Kingdom of God.”(From the Preamble to the Atlanta Covenant)1

Have we not all one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?” (Malachi 2:10; NKJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Read The Atlanta Covenant. If you agree with it, sign it.
  • Intercede for Christians who have linked racism and religion together – justifying the separation of the races in church services and only inviting members of their own race to work together in citywide projects and activities.
  • Identificationally repent of racial division in the political and governmental arenas where we have lined up behind candidates because they share our race. Or where we have supported legislation because it is promoted to benefit one racial group over another.
  • Worship God for the beauty of diversity He has created as expressed through every tongue and tribe and nation!

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, thank you for impressing upon some Believers the need for The Atlanta Covenant. How wonderful to have a document that everyone in the Body of Christ can agree on. How sad that it is needed. Forgive us, Your Church, Your representation in the earth, for justifying “the most racially divided hour in America” – our church services. There is much division in the church and to divide along racial lines is unbecoming to the beauty of the Bride of Christ. I can’t say to the hand, “I have no need of you.” I can’t say to the heart, “I have no need of you.” However, every time I refuse to work with ethnically different members of the Body, that’s exactly what I’m doing. I am cutting off a needed part to reach my community with the Gospel. Everytime I vote for my own race, instead of the one who will usher in righteousness and justice, I am aligning with racism. Every time I express my uneducated opinion about proposed legislation that appears to benefit one people group over my own, I create injustice. Oh God, help us! Jesus, Your Bride is beautiful exactly as You created her! Each one has a part in expanding Your Kingdom and in reaching this nation! I receive them all! Amen.

Today’s decree:

“Racism in any form is a grave sin against God and man.”2 We will not tolerate it in America or participate in it!

What Justice Looks Like – Ending Racism in America

This last weekend over 10,000 Believers gathered at Stone Mountain, Georgia, to “repent of the past sins of racism, affirm the Church’s leadership role in overcoming our nation’s divisive past, and commit to a new unity as believers. Both the location and date of such an event were historic. In 1915, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) burnt its first cross in public on the top of Stone Mountain, and nearly 55 years ago to the date of OneRace Stone Mountain, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., delivered his famous ‘I Have a Dream’ speech in which he dreamt freedom would one day ring from Stone Mountain. ‘Where in 1915 they started burning crosses to the ground, we’re changing that now,’ said Billy Humphrey, co-director of OneRace. ‘Reconciliation is not a matter of a moment but a matter of a movement. It takes time, intentionality and turning hearts toward one another. We are starting that today.’”1

“From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.” (Acts 17:26; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • If you harbor any resentment in your heart toward any people group other than your own, run to the throne of grace! Your repentance will receive forgiveness from the Father.
  • Decide that you will be a part of the healing, not the hurt; the blessings, not the curses. (Will Ford)
  • Intercede for unity among the races in America.
  • Intercede for people and/or situations you are aware of where there is injustice due to prejudice and racism.
  • We must be intentional to end racism. Is there someone from another nationality or with different colored skin that you can serve today in a practical way? Go show them God’s love.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, I bare my heart before You and ask You to expose any place where I harbor resentment or preconceived notions about people of other races. I will gladly repent! Change my thinking. I shake off societal and familial stereotypes. I repent for my family line where we have not seen others as equal to us and where we have spoken of or treated others as less than us. Make us one, even as You are one! (Intercede for people and/or situations you are aware of where there is injustice due to prejudice and racism.) Give me Divine ideas of how to show Your love to others, whether by acts of kindness or purposeful conversations where we begin to understand each other better. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

We choose to turn our hearts toward one another and end racism in America!

Turning From Lawlessness to Awakening

“When President Trump was inaugurated, there was a firestorm of protest almost immediately. The behavior of the lawless crowd on the evening of the inauguration vandalized Washington, D.C. They threw rocks, bottles, and feces at law enforcement officers, swearing that they will not stop until Donald Trump has been brought down. The stage had been being set over a number of years. We have seen increasing lawlessness across the nation. We have seen lawlessness at the Supreme Court, which gave us Obergefell and same sex marriage. That decision was like poking the Creator in the eye. This increase of rebellion from the top to the bottom of our government, forebodes a very dark day. We, the Ekklesia, must intercede and vote and not allow the spread of this affront to God. We can’t allow our freedom to be destroyed and immorality to run amok. We need awakening, revival, and reformation in our nation.” (Pierre Bynum)1

O God, when you lead your people into battle, when you march through the desert, the earth shakes, yes, the heavens pour down rain before God, the God of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel. O God, you cause abundant showers to fall on your chosen people.” (Psalm 68:7-9a; NET)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • As God brings revival to our land, may it come from the bottom up and the top down! Call it forth!
  • Intercede for God’s wave of revival to wash over every sphere of culture and especially civil government, which impacts every segment and subset of society.
  • Intercede for the day to come when we, like ancient Judah, come with fruits of repentance, as one man in solemn assembly to truly dedicate our nation back wholly to Him!

A prayer you can pray:

God, bring revival to the government of America from the top down and the bottom up! We call it forth, in Jesus’ name! Let Your tsunami of revival wash across America. Wash Washington. Wash over civil government. Wash over education, business, media, and the arts. Wash away the rebellion and lawlessness. Wash in an awakening and awareness of You and Your ways! We position ourselves in repentance for the sin of our nation. We intercede to dedicate our nation back to you. Jesus, we love You. We need You. Come to America! Amen.

Today’s decree:

We decree awakening, revival, and reformation of civil government!

Desperate for a Just Judicial System

“President Donald Trump has an opportunity—a narrow window to use his authority to appoint new justices to the U.S. Supreme Court and 115 federal judges. He must continue to develop the Department of Justice and dozens of law enforcement agencies that can model fidelity to the Constitution and the rule of law. He has promised to do that, but it will not happen without the prayers and support of God’s people. We can’t just offer up routine daily prayers, but we must grasp the horns of the altar in repentant prayer for our national sins and engage in aggressive spiritual warfare. We must use the authority God has given us to tear down the spiritual strongholds that have gripped our judicial system for a long time.  There is hope if we pray and use the authority God has given us in His Word.” (Pierre Bynum)

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when our obedience is fulfilled.” (2 Corinthians 10:3-6; NKJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Intercede for President Trump’s role in nominating individuals to serve as Supreme Court justices and federal judges.
  • Call the 115 open federal judiciary seats “filled” by those God has raised up. Pray that those helping President Trump fill the seats will be able to find them all.
  • Ask God for a grace to step up the intercession. Ask Him for scriptures to pray and words to decree!
  • Command the strongholds preventing the quick placement of these conservative judges to give way in Jesus’ name.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we bring President Trump before Your throne of grace. Reveal to his team these qualified judges. Highlight them with a Holy Ghost highlighter! We say that the process will be stepped up, sped up, and completed as quickly as possible. These ones raised up by You are coming to the forefront now, even as cream rises. We will stand and war for this as if our nation’s future depends on it. It does! Give us the scriptures. Give us Your words. We command the demonic guardians of strongholds holding back the judges to give way! We say there will be no more blocking the seats! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

The Ekklesia is warring for the courts of America and we will see those seats filled!

A Higher Judge

“The U.S. Supreme Court and our Federal District and Circuit Courts of Appeal are now packed with judges who believe in a living, breathing Constitution that can be interpreted so as to change with the times. As morals in culture change, so do the moral standards by which some Judges interpret the Constitution. If a judge believes strongly in an issue about which the Constitution does not speak, he can ‘discover penumbras’ (i.e., shadows) in the Constitution or draw his authority from thin air. This has gone way too far for the American people. If it is not changed by our president, our experiment in self-rule, our republic, will be over. He must choose judges to serve at every level who believe in judicial restraint and originalism, and who believe that there is a higher law and a Higher Judge than themselves.” (Pierre Bynum)1

The grass withers, the open flower fades; but the word of our God shall stand for ever.” (Isaiah 40:8; TJB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Declare, “There is a Judge that is higher than any earthly judge – God Most High!”
  • Declare, “We will have judges that humbly bow the knee to the Highest Judge of all!”
  • Call forth the judges who honor judicial restraint and original constitutional interpretation.
  • Close the door to judicial interpretation of the U.S. Constitution from a position of current moral standards or vague penumbras.

A prayer you can pray:

God, You are the Judge of the whole earth. You are righteous and true and your judgements are altogether perfect. We are safe when You are honored as the ultimate Judge. We desire judges who look to You and Your Word as the ultimate standard from which they rule. Our Constitution was based on the principles of Your Word. We desire it to be honored. No more judicial interpretation from a standpoint of current moral standards or shadowy penumbras. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Our judges must bow to the Highest Judge!

How Shall We Define “Constitutional”?

“In Samuel Rutherford’s day, the debate was, is the King the Law, or the Law King to which the King is a subject? Today we must ask, are our Judges the Constitution and Law or are they subject to the Constitution and Law? Some of our judges act as if they are the law. The late Justice Anthony Scalia summed it up in his dissent to the Supreme Court’s infamous 2015 ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges, which dared to redefine marriage: I write separately to call attention to this Court’s threat to American democracy … Today’s decree says that my Ruler, and the Ruler of 320 million Americans coast-to-coast, is a majority of the nine lawyers on the Supreme Court … This practice of constitutional revision by an unelected committee of nine, always accompanied (as it is today) by extravagant praise of liberty, robs the People of the most important liberty they asserted in the Declaration of Independence and won in the Revolution of 1776: the freedom to govern themselves.1 The U.S. Supreme Court has become untethered from the Constitution and exercised authority that it does not have, like abolishing prayer, bible reading, and the display of the Ten Commandments in our schools.  The Court has legalized unlimited abortion, same-sex marriage, seizure of property for commercial use, and much, much more.” (Pierre Bynum)2

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:2

  • Ask God to move mightily to overhaul our judicial system.
  • President Trump has gathered many believers around him who are ministering to Christ constantly. He appears to be responding to the Spirit of God. Therefore, pray that he and each member of our Supreme Court be moved by the Holy Spirit to draw near to Him who is our King.
  • Intercede that our President will choose men and women who hold to the Constitution, originalism and Judicial restraint, but who also hold to our Creator, the Supreme Judge of the World, our Savior and only King. May they revere His word, which He has magnified above His Name.
  • May He choose justices and judges who are fully equipped, ready as stewards to be faithful to their oath and calling to the very end, rightly dividing the Words of the Constitution and the Word of God as it pertains to men, the law, and nations.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, continue to overhaul our judicial system. We need many more righteous judges in place from local courts to the Supreme Court. Continue to work on President Trump’s heart. Draw Him close to You. Don’t let him grow weary in well-doing or give in to outside pressure. He has encircled himself with godly advisors—men and women who know You well. Let their counsel on this matter be respectful and full of Your wisdom. We ask for justices and judges who fear you and will remain true to the U.S. Constitution. May our President choose men and women who hold to the Constitution, originalism and Judicial restraint, but who also hold to You, our Creator, the Supreme Judge of the World, our Savior and only King. May they revere Your word, which You have magnified above Your Name. May they rightly interpret the Constitution and the Word of God, bringing the two together to affect those who come before them, with potential impact into the states and, at times, to the nations of the earth. In Jesus’ honored Name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

We say our nation’s judges are subject to the U.S. Constitution, not the other way around!

Being Watchful in Prayer

President Ronald Reagan appointed three justices to the Supreme Court. One was Justice Antonin Scalia. He was a constitutional conservative and came down on the side of life and limitation to government. He was a quality man. He was a no-compromise kind of guy that believed in morality, God’s founding of this nation and what it stands for. President Reagan’s other two appointees were Justice Sandra Day O’Connor and Justice Anthony Kennedy.  Both have retired now, but when they served, their judgements were surprising. You never knew which way they would rule. Kennedy was the biggest surprise. Everyone thought he was extremely conservative. He turned out to be extremely liberal in his rulings. O’Connor was more moderate but still liberal leaning. President Reagan was a conservative who thought he was appointing conservative justices. Something happened to them when they stepped onto the Court. We can’t have those on the bench that the enemy can turn his direction. This may be our last opportunity to turn this nation back to God.

Avoid evil and walk straight ahead. Don’t go one step off the right way.” (Proverbs 4:27; GNT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • It is up to the Church to handle the spiritual side of the nominating and confirming process of the Supreme Court Justices. Call the Church out of complacency and onto their knees.
  • Pray against all forms of witchcraft and occult practices that could affect the mind of Judge Kavanaugh, through the upcoming hearings and beyond.
  • Declare, “Should Judge Kavanaugh be God’s choice for this open seat, he will be protected by the blood of Jesus Christ and the prayers of the Saints. We forbid any force of darkness to turn him away from who he is being presented to be.”
  • Cover the minds and hearts of all of the Supreme Court Justices in prayer.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we call the Ekklesia to the watches over the Supreme Court’s open seat. We shake off complacency and any decisions we may have made that this is a done deal. The enemy is still at work, so we should still be in prayer! There is a clear war over these nine Supreme Court Justices. If the enemy has turned men and women aside in the past, he can do it again, unless we watch and pray. Those that are not close to you can be more easily swayed. We don’t know what Judge Kavanaugh’s relationship with You is like. We know he is a Catholic, so he has some knowledge of You. We don’t know if He seeks You daily and in every decision affecting his life, his family, his rulings, and this nation. Should Judge Kavanaugh be Your choice for this open seat, we say he will be protected by the blood of Jesus Christ and our intercesion. We forbid any force of darkness to turn him away from who he is being presented to be. (Take a few minutes and pray similarly for the other eight justices.) In the faithful name of our Lord, Jesus, amen.

Today’s decree:

God’s choice for Supreme Court Justice will remain true to Him and will judge righteously.
