Independence Day 2018

Family, flags, picnics, parades, and fireworks are the staples of Independence Day today. It’s our nation’s “birthday” and we will celebrate it for all the world to see. The United States of America is turning 242 years old! Our nation is a miracle. Our republic has lasted, despite threats, politics, wars, and attacks of all kinds against us. Here we are. Our founders would be pleased and shocked all at the same time, if they could see us now. We continue to stand on the bedrock of the U. S. Constitution. We continue to fight to keep God welcome and involved in every aspect of our daily lives, including our laws and governance. It hasn’t been easy and the cost has been great, but Happy Birthday, America! We are so thankful to God for the United States of America!

And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 5:20; NLT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Thank God for establishing the dream in His heart called, “The United States of America!”
  • Think of one historic issue that is still unresolved today and intercede into it for a bit. (Racism is one that comes to mind.)
  • Look in the news and find a current issue that is dividing our nation and intercede into that. (Immigration is at the forefront. The open seat on the Supreme Court is likely to be a divided issue.)
  • Pray against all forms of violence against America – terrorism, racial division, school shootings, etc. Ask for the blood of Jesus to protect us from all harm.
  • Despite all the challenges, thank God again for this wonderful country we get to call “home”!

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we are forever grateful that You dreamt of a nation that would honor You from its foundations. You established it as You sent Your servants here. You gave their descendants a grace to honor You above any other and to demand the freedom to govern themselves under You. Wow! What a wonderful heritage we have. (Think of one historic issue that is still unresolved today and intercede into it for a bit. (Racism is one that comes to mind.) Look in the news and find a current issue that is dividing our nation and intercede into that. (Immigration is at the forefront. The open seat on the Supreme Court is likely to be a divided issue.)) We ask for the blood of Jesus to stand as a barrier over America to any plans of the enemy to harm us. We lift up a banner of worship from sea to shining sea, even as we celebrate, Jesus. Keep us safe another year. Glory and honor to the Name above every other name, amen.

Today’s decree:

The United States of America will remain free under God’s watchful eye!

Freedom For All

Tomorrow, we will celebrate Independence Day. It is America’s “birthday” and the beginning of what was to become one of the strongest and most free nations in the modern world. From that day until this one, we struggle to remain a free society. “Freedom” has not been a given for all of our citizens over the years, however. That has really been an unfolding over time. I don’t mean to simplify this, but why did it take from July 4th, 1776 all the way to July 2, 1964 to sign the Civil Rights Act guaranteeing non-white persons and women equality in the workplace in America. Wasn’t all that already stated in the Declaration of Independence and affirmed in the Constitution of the United States of America, defined even more clearly over time by various Amendments added to the latter document to reinforce the intent? Sadly, fallen human nature redefines “people” in order to oppress certain persons they want to exploit – or remove from society. Freedom for all, means freedom for every single citizen! We can limit unrighteous  behavior via our laws, but a person is a person, like it or not. A person is a person from conception to the grave and tomorrow we will celebrate the freedom of all! Because, Jesus loves us all!

Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.” (1 Peter 2:16; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Christians should be the most free people in a free nation, because we can live free from sin’s traps in our lives. Rejoice!
  • Pray for any person or people group you can think of that is not experiencing civic freedom in the United States today. There are still injustices from time to time.
  • Pray for the lost around you—family, friends, neighbors, and others you may see as you go about your day. Pray that they find true freedom in the salvation of Jesus Christ.
  • Intercede for those who want freedom and acceptance for their ungodly or unrighteous behaviors. They don’t understand that civic freedom will not bring freedom to their hearts and minds. Only Jesus’ power and love can do that.
  • Pray for the ending of abortion in America and the protection of life for our pre-born citizens.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we as the people of the United States of America, aspire to be truly free! We know the only true freedom will come from knowing Jesus Christ, Your magnificent Son. Our national freedom is like frosting on the cake to those of us who know Jesus. We would that everyone living here would come to know You. Help the Ekklesia know how to live fully in the freedom granted us in Your Kingdom and in our national governing documents. Let unrighteousness be turned back at the gates. I ask that the same guarantee of freedom under the Constitution be extended to the pre-born. Let that affirmation come quickly, Lord, Jesus. Let us love like You love and share that loving freedom with everyone we come in contact with. May America become more “free” every day. Amen!

Today’s decree:

Freedom in Christ is true national freedom!

Petitioning the President

Ask the President to nominate the absolute best person to replace Justice Kennedy on the Supreme Court. The opportunity of a lifetime demands our best nominee – not a stealth, compromise nominee who is calculated to win the votes of pro-abortion Senators.  If necessary, let the election for the future of the Senate be about this Supreme Court seat. That worked pretty well for us in the last election! But, let us not get in a rush, act in the flesh, and give this gift of a seat to a weak, compromise Justice who will betray us and haunt us for the next 40 years! We’ve done that before and we will not do it again! Dear Brothers and Sisters, ‘Be Bold!’” (Phillip Jauregi)1

The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes.” (Proverbs 21:1; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Humbly, but boldly, ask God to direct President Trump to the person of God’s own choosing to fill retiring Justice Kennedy’s seat.
  • Ask God to put the final touches of preparation on the heart of the person God has chosen. They need to know this is their time and they need the wisdom to know how to get through the confirmation hearings.
  • Tell the political spirit that we will not bow to mediocrity or compromise in this placement. Say, “That open seat is for only one person and that is God’s choice!”
  • Click here to email, call or write the White House and let President Trump know that you are looking forward to a strong, conservative justice to replace Justice Kennedy.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, direct our president’s actions in this important Supreme Court Justice appointment. A mistake cannot be made. This is the generation of solidifying the Court to secure a righteous environment in our nation for our children and grandchildren. Get the person ready to say ‘yes’ to President Trump’s phone call. Grant them gifts of wisdom and discernment to get through the upcoming hearings, so that a nonpartisan decision can be reached. I commit to contact President Trump and encourage him to keep his campaign promise to seat conservative justices on the Court, should he get the opportunity. That opportunity is here! In Jesus’ name, amen.

Today’s decree:

The open seat on the Court is for God’s Choice, only!

Pray! The New Supreme Court Justice is Coming

“Have you noticed that things have changed a bit in this Nation? The old ways are toast. God is doing new things and we cannot merely repeat the old play book. If we want a new thing – then we must be willing to do a new thing. His strategy in this nomination and confirmation is fresh and we must do it His way. So, seek Him yourself. Don’t merely listen to me or others. What is He saying to you? You are His sheep, and you absolutely hear His Voice. We arrived at this moment through the grace of God and the faithful intercession of His saints. Prayer is what created this moment and prayer is what will deliver God’s Justice to the Supreme Court.” (Phillip Jauregi)1

“Then I will restore your judges as at the first, And your counselors as at the beginning; After that you will be called the city of righteousness, A faithful city.” (Isaiah 1:26; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Commit some time to pray regarding this critical national matter. We want the way completely open for the one and only right candidate!
  • Tell your friends to pray.
  • Encourage your pastors to devote time tomorrow and future Sunday services to pray for this. (You can use the prayer Phillip Jauregi provides below.)
  • Don’t just petition the Lord, decree and declare God’s raised-up choice to sit in that vacant seat. Decree it closed off to any other person.
  • Say, “Only God’s chosen person can sit in that open Supreme Court seat! It has been fashioned for only God’s sovereign choice!”

A prayer you can pray:

“Father God, as it was with the Prophet Jeremiah, so let it be with this next Supreme Court Justice. Before you formed this Justice in the womb, you knew them, you called them and appointed them to be a Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court at this moment. You know their name, their face and, most importantly, their heart. Let Your supernatural favor fall on them and light her countenance with Your Glory before President Trump and all his advisors. Let them shake their heads in amazed agreement that Your Choice is unmistakable. Let the other prospects be truly blessed in their other callings – but let them not be blessed in this. We call forth Your one appointed Justice at this moment in History. Let them – and them only – be seated on the Supreme Court in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ!”1

Today’s decree:

There is one righteous person allowed to sit in the vacant Supreme Court seat – God’s sovereign choice alone!

Unique Moment in U. S. History

Our friend, Phillip Jauregi, has issued an excellent directive to the Body of Christ as we navigate interceding for the next Supreme Court Justice. We will share points over the next few days that come from him. “Justice Kennedy’s retirement has created the most significant judicial vacancy in the history of the United States. This moment is the pinnacle of much of our work since 1962. God has graciously given us another opportunity to take back the Supreme Court for His Glory. It is a great gift and we must take time to rejoice and be thankful for this incredible gift. Yes, we will work – but as we work – we must maintain the joy of the Lord because it is our strength.”1

The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest. Righteousness goes before him and prepares the way for his steps.” (Psalm 85:12-13; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Rejoice, rejoice, for a significant door in our nation’s history has opened.
  • Thank the Lord for the opportunity to shift the Supreme Court for at least the next generation.
  • Thank the Lord for the righteous person He has been preparing for this position.
  • Thank the Lord that He is answering the prayers of the saints over the last generation. Our children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren could reap the rewards of national moral and judicial stability and affirmed religious freedom as a result of this placement.
  • Thank the Lord for Believers who have been tirelessly fighting for this moment in time. Ask God for the grace to continue on bravely.

A prayer you can pray:

God, You are so good! We rejoice over this door of opportunity You have opened for the United States, Lord! If navigated by Your Holy Spirit, we can shift the Supreme Court for at least a generation to come. We thank You in advance for the person You have been molding behind the scenes. We thank you that they will be the one appointed. You have made sure they have the exact right background to get through the confirmation process. You are now answering decades of intercession of the saints. The bowls are being poured out in this matter. Thank you for all those who added their prayers to those bowls. We say grace, grace, grace to this Supreme Court mountain. God’s time has come to be glorified in this hour of our national government! Amen.

Today’s decree:

We are rejoicing! God is setting the Court for His righteous judicial season!

Justice Kennedy is Retiring

Yesterday, Justice Anthony M. Kennedy resigned from the Supreme Court stating that he is ready to retire after 30 years and spend more time with his family. He has been a controversial justice. He was appointed by conservative President Ronald Reagan, but he has often sided with liberal justices on key morally contentious cases, especially those  involving abortion and LGBTQ rights. The Senate has already begun adjusting their schedules to prioritize what they believe will be a quick appointment by President Trump. This will be the President’s second Supreme Court appointment. “‘I expect the nominee to be like Justice Gorsuch, to demonstrate excellence in every respect, and to earn widespread support from the American people, and bipartisan support for confirmation in the Senate,’ Leonard Leo said.”1 It is likely there will be a partisan battle over this Justice. Therefore, we must buckle down and pray!

Then I charged your judges at that time, saying, ‘Hear the cases between your fellow countrymen, and judge righteously between a man and his fellow countryman, or the alien who is with him.’” (Deuteronomy 1:16; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Worship the Lord for His righteousness and justice, exalting Him as the ultimate Judge over the whole universe!
  • This nation needs a righteous judge, not a partisan one. Ask God to highlight a righteous man to President Trump.
  • Pray that the appointee is a person that will honor the Word of God and the United States Constitution.
  • Ask God for a person who is excellent in their character and with an uncompromised judicial record so that they are beyond reproach. This could shut the mouth of any accusers.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, we worship You, for You alone are worthy of our praises. We exalt You and magnify Your holy name! You are righteous altogether. You are justice itself. So, to You we come and make our request for the next Supreme Court Justice of the United States. We ask You for a righteous person who knows You and loves truth. May they be beyond reproach in their character and in their prior judicial decisions. Let them be someone whose decisions remain true to the U. S. Constitution and line up with Your Word. May their confirmation process be quick and surprisingly free of deep controversy. Grace, Jesus, grace. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Our righteous Judge has raised up a righteous Justice. May they be called forth to serve our nation at this time in our history!

Reflections on The Forward Conference

I feel we are launching into a “new era”. It will be one of the greatest opportunities in church history.

My reasons for this belief?

  1. For the first time in many centuries, the Church will be able to function in all of the five gifts and anointings Christ gave her—apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher (Ephesians 4:11). And as this important passage goes on to say, through these gifts we will be able to reveal “the fullness of Christ” (verse 13).
  2. Also, we have entered a season where Holy Spirit has restored to us the true meaning of ekklesia, the Church. A remnant of the body of Christ has come to understand that the ekklesia is Christ’s kingdom government on earth, entrusted with His authority, and commissioned to legislate His will. As such, these believers are no longer content to function only as “fellowships,” “congregations,” or “families.” They insist on also functioning as extenders of Christ’s Kingdom.
  3. And lastly, the Lord of the harvest has prepared the fields. Desperate conditions, despot rulers, and mass disillusionment have caused tribes and nations to become ripe for change.

The aligning of these three areas—Christ’s gifts, a revelation of His authority in the Church, and a prepared earth—is about to produce a critical mass, leading to explosive harvest and reformative change. We have truly entered into a new era! 1

“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the [a]edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11-13; NKJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Thank the Lord for the fresh revelation of Ephesians 4:11-13. Call forth the five-fold ministers. Call them together in teams throughout the nation!
  • Declare that the Church and those in the world will see the manifestation of the fullness of Christ as the five-fold starts to show forth the fullness of Christ’s nature.
  • Call forth the Ekklesia! Pray that Believers understand that they are the legislative Body of Christ in the earth, not just the petitioning priests.
  • Declare that the Ekklesia will be extenders of Christ’s Kingdom in America, and not just gathered fellowships.
  • Call forth the the Harvesters.
  • Declare that the nations of the earth will be transformed by the deluge of new souls coming to Christ in this new era!

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, we call forth the true apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. They will show forth the fullness of Christ as they team up together! The Body will be able to become fully mature! The Church shall be an Ekklesia, declaring and decreeing the will and purposes of God from the Word into the nation! Operating as an extender of Christ’s Kingdom in America, we will do far more than fellowship together. We will determine the future of the United States. Let the Harvesters come forth! We call them to reap the ready harvest. Wow, what an impact a harvest this large will have as these new Believers’ lives are transformed into Christ’s image. America will be transformed, by the power of the shed blood and resurrection of Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

A new era has begun in the Church!

Examine the Harvest and Count the Cost

Want to see society be changed? There is coming a massive awakening. Get ready! What about when the evangelists hit the streets and get people saved out of compromised lifestyles. There will be those saved out drug addiction with their arms stripped from searching for veins. There will be those covered in tattoos that exalt the enemy and they can never be removed. How about the gender-confused that have had hormones and surgery but now Jesus has given them their identity back? They will come from all walks of life. This isn’t the Jesus Movement with simply long hair and cut-off shorts. This is our day! Our societal issues are far more serious today, and we are called to love those who will come out of these situations. They will stand beside us for all eternity and we must embrace them and put them to work inside our churches. They will need to become lawmakers and business owners, teachers, judges and pastors. Get your hearts ready for this unique harvest!

So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” (John 13:34-35; NLT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Look around you wherever you go today. See anyone unusual? Jesus wants that person in the Kingdom. We need to start changing our religious mindsets.
  • Check your heart for any religious, pharisaical spirit that would want to keep certain people away from Jesus, or at least out of your church.
  • Purposefully intercede for someone you know that is in a compromised lifestyle. Pray that they will know they are loved by Jesus. Pray that they will come to Christ or come back to Him. Ask God to use them fully in the plan He destined for them to walk in.
  • Ask God for a greater capacity to love others. Not to accept sin, but to love people enough to share Jesus with them and then disciple them.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, open my eyes to really see those I sometimes don’t want to notice. Break my heart for what breaks yours. Lost people are those the devil has deceived, lied to, and caused to suffer deep pain in order to push them away from You. The most unusual often have the deepest pain and the highest calling which we can only see once they are born again. Get me and my church ready for anyone who walks in the doors. Help us to get ready to clean any fish that jumps in Your net. Help us to see them the way You created them. Don’t let us give up on them as we disciple them. Expand our hearts. Teach us to love as You love, dividing the sin from the sinner. We can’t wait to see who You entrust us with! In Jesus’ name, amen.

Today’s decree:

We decree that new Believers will be loved to wholeness by the Church!

Jesus the Evangelist is on the Scene

“A prophecy was once given to me by a group of young YWAMers. They said, ‘There’s coming a shift to TheCall. It will not be fasting and prayer, but a proclamation of the Gospel, signs and wonders, and stadiums will be filled. Billy Graham mantles will fall on this nation.’ Someone else has prophesied over me for 10 years, ‘Look for the season of Billy Graham’s death. Stick with him, because you are going to get something from Billy Graham.’ Then, Chuck Pierce prophesied today, ‘Some of you are going to become an evangelist!’ I knew that applied to me! When Jesus the Evangelist begins to step on the scene, evangelism begins to rise again. It will rise in us! Prophets will become evangelists, teachers will become evangelists, we will all become evangelists because that’s what Jesus is doing right now in America!” (Lou Engle)1

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Welcome the evangelist mantle onto your life right now, regardless of any other mantle you may wear.
  • Ask God for an ability to hear Holy Spirit’s direction for each specific evangelistic encounter you engage in. Remember, Holy Spirit will be working in partnership with you. He’ll make it easy to reap this harvest of souls.
  • Proclaim that Billy Graham’s evangelist mantle is being multiplied across our nation!
  • Pray for the availability of stadiums and convention centers and other large venues to be used for evangelism.
  • Intercede for the development of discipleship programs and church readiness to receive the new Believers, so the harvest is held.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, mantle me with an anointing to evangelize. It is the season! Show me who to engage and how you want me to share the Good News with them. Do You want to heal them, have me share a word of knowledge, or just be friendly to them? Do this everywhere, Lord! Multiply Billy Graham’s mantle across the land. Pour out your spirit of evangelism in one-on-one meetings as well as in large venues. Open supernatural doors for ministries to be charged good prices to use stadiums and convention centers for large gatherings. Download your discipleship strategies and material content into the pastors and teachers so we can hold the harvest of new believers. Jesus, we long for multitudes of spiritual babies to fill our churches! Amen.

Today’s decree:

The evangelist mantle is falling across America!

Don’t Hang Your Cleats Up Yet

“Do you only want to go so far in Christ? It’s painful sometimes to go farther. The tests, the bitterness, the judgements, the beatings, and the betrayals can be brutal. Everything in you screams, ‘You did a good job. Just hang up the cleats.’ I tell you, America’s stadiums full of new Believers are still waiting for us. We are going to want to have our cleats on. All of us have a story that needs injected into the storyline of this season. I can’t tell you Chuck Pierce’s story. I can’t tell you Dutch Sheets’ stories, but I can tell you my own! All of our stories are significant. Somebody needs to hear your story, your testimony. Don’t put your cleats away as long as there is someone left to tell your story to!” (Lou Engle)1

They won the victory over him because of the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life so much that they refused to give it up.” (Revelation 12:11; GWT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Have you been feeling tired, worn out, beaten down, or discouraged? Have you wanted to stop? Maybe retire? Ask the Lord to heal you, spirit, soul and body.
  • Grieve, repent, forgive, or anything else you have to do to gain the energy and vision to get those cleats back on and fully engage in the game.
  • Ask the Lord to share His dreams for this era with you so you can dream His dreams.
  • Get your stories ready. Write them down if you need to. Rehearse them and watch for opportunities to share them with a person in need of what only you have to share with them. Watch Holy Spirit go to work!

A prayer you can pray:

Father, where I am tired and worn down from disappointment, testing, and betrayal, heal me. I choose to forgive, even as You forgive me. Wipe my tears away and stand me on my feet again. Share Your dreams for this season of revival and awakening with me. My life is not over. My stories are needed. Help me remember how You brought me through. Give me the best words and way to share so that any bitterness or grief does not sneak through my words. Holy Spirit, let’s go share my stories with the sick, the oppressed, the dying and the lonely. Use them to draw the lost to Jesus, my precious Savior. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Our testimonies will break the captives free!
