Our City has recently been in the news because the train tracks from SanDiego to LosAngeles have been closed repeatedly in the city of SanClemente due to numerous landslides along our coastal bluffs. We are told this rail route is the #2 most critical national transportation corridor, not for Amtrack & Metrorail passenger traffic but for freight and military transportation. The ARMY CORPS of ENGINEERS has tried to mininimize the track movement by dropping tons of giant boulders beside the oceanside of the train tracks. Some ocean experts say the dropping of boulders along the tracks magnifies the crashing of waves and accelerates the sand erosion and loss of our beaches. Part of the problem is nature, but part of the problem is man made. Our beaches are deteriorating rapidly because we no longer get adequate sand deposited by natural rivers that used to flow from the inland mountains to the ocean but are now blocked by man made dams and concrete flood channels. Without sand buffering the coastline, bluffs erode more quickly. It is the job of the California Coastal Comission to protect our coasline, but it is clear that this big government organization is more interested in seizing private property that protecting it. CCC blames climate change and ocean rise for problems that are clearly man made. Government has intentionally ignored simple solutions for decades like doing sand replacement to stabilizethe coastline. We have been poor stewards of Gods gorgeous gifts, not understanding or respecting when nature rules and not recognizing man made problems and seeking to resolve them. Our private gated community at Cyprus Shore/Cotton Point where President Nixon had his Western White house, was denied necessary permits by CCC to add caissons to secure our community property. (See pictures of our clubhouse & parking lot that have sunk 6' down the slope. In what appeared to be an attempt to solve the problem of broken storm drains, the City delivered giant storm drain replacement pipes to our private park, but CCC refused to allow the permits needed to install them. The subsequent damage has been devastating. (See pictures of the 10' wide black plastic sheeting used as a temporary drain channel running through our park.) CCC has stated they mightgrant permits to do repairs in exchange for our private gated community giving public access through our private neighborhood to our private beach. Our small Homeowners Association concedes to the big government bullies for fear of loosing private property rights. Global governments goal is to not allow private land ownership. Our beach used to be 50 ' wide from North Califia State beach to Cotton Point to the South. Our beach barely exists below the boulders and only at low tide now. So we are literally living on a landslide, under threat by City, County, State and Federal rulers who mostly act according to the assumption that everyone is entitled at all access all the time. (See the 'homeless' encampments occupying public sidewalks, freeway underpasses, beaches, parks. Etc.) We have failed in our responsibility to keep righteous rulers in government and thus are loosing our rights. I prayed Psalm 91. I walked the land, begging for GOD'S righteous rulers to replace the evil doers whose goal it is to ruin his creation and create chaos so their can seize control for the sake of increasing their evil powers.
