This terrain is very similar to what happened the the Elwah and Condit Dams in WA state. Wells were lost too. Elimination of Hydro Power is not the way to go. It's clean energy and has been used for years with water wheels. History dates water wheels back to 300 BC in Egypt.
Because this waterway has been blocked by a manmade dam and concrete channels, the natural sediment that turns to sand and flows to the shore has been minimized, thus leaving beaches without adequate sand to buffer the waves against the bluffs that crumble due to the increased pounding during high surf and storms. God forgive us for destroying nature in pursuit of occupying formerly uninhabitable areas. Help us make better choices. Prayed PS 91 as we passed Seven Oaks Dam in San Bernardino County, CA. While dams can protect property from flooding they can also do harm to nature. God help us to prioritize protecting your creation and not do more harm than good in the process.
