This morning I felt led to learn more about the Red River. I learned where it starts and ends. I found it fascinating that the river's color and name are derived from the red rocks in the region of its origin. I felt that to be a definite link between Water from the Rock and the color of the Blood in which the New Life is found. I learned, among other things, that the Red River serves as a natural border for TX and OK, and TX and AR. So I prayed over its beginnings, its course, its levees, and it terminus, that it will continue to flow unimpeded and that watchmen will be alert to any threats anywhere along its path.
