This terrain is very similar to what happened the the Elwah and Condit Dams in WA state. Wells were lost too. Elimination of Hydro Power is not the way to go. It's clean energy and has been used for years with water wheels. History dates water wheels back to 300 BC in Egypt.
Dry riverbed
Because this waterway has been blocked by a manmade dam and concrete channels, the natural sediment that turns to sand and flows to the shore has been minimized, thus leaving beaches without adequate sand to buffer the waves against the bluffs that crumble due to the increased pounding during high surf and storms. God forgive us for destroying nature in pursuit of occupying formerly uninhabitable areas. Help us make better choices. Please guide us to put wise leaders in places of power and authority who will honor the natural order and respect your plans and purposes. Amen
The SantaAna riverbed no longer flows freely from the mountains to the sea.
