Klamath River Dams - both Copco and Iron Gate Dams have been breached (holes at the bottom, Dam removal has not started. The sediment is so thick all wildlife is getting stuck in the mud, volunteer fire departments are doing rescue efforts. Today we went just below Copco Dam, salted and prayed Ps. 91 over the river. there are multitudes of dead fish and dead water life just laying on the bank of the River. The River is black. A local person has set up a facebook page "Klamath River and Dam Removal" if anyone wants to follow.
We also prayed over the Scott and Shasta Rivers, the two main tributaries to the Klamath. These rivers benefit the Ranchers and Farmers. CA State Water Board is already looking to curtail those who divert from both Rivers and to curtail the amount of water that can be used for pasture grazing and wells for Grass Hay and Alfalfa. We are a tight community and will continue to fight this egregious act. We Decree the Klamath Dams/River are a Federal Asset per the 1957 Klamath Compact and only an act of Congress can remove said Dams as this was signed into Federal Law by President Eisenhower.
Susan, this is the third time I've tried to post a comment in appreciation of what you've written & prayed for. I remember you from last summer's Paint Your State.
