CT Dams (Federal Listing for all States)

I saw as of yesterday we now have a new assignment! 🔥

In researching I came across the below listings and thought they might be useful for CT residents to plan dam/waterway visits, while at the same time being mindful of Apostle Dutch's admonishment that, in doing so, to comply with all government laws and instructions, as Godly representatives:

The first is a general link to all CT's dams, courtesy of the National Inventory of Dams (NID). Did anybody know there are over 800 dams in CT alone?? I sure didn't! WOW! 😯 I'm guessing because this list is a military breakdown, there are likely some that cannot be physically visited.

The second is an interesting link to CT's dams that provides a breakdown by County. It was noted that different resources seem to have different total counts of all CT dams (although I presume the NID is the most accurate).

I also referenced the CT DEEP of course (very good for guidelines and policy re: visiting access), but did not find a comprehensive breakdown of all dams and/or waterways in the state.

P.S. - If there are any other Ladies of Zion in the CT area who plan to visit an accessible dam in either Hartford or Tolland County, please let me know and I'd love to join you! I definitely want to do this, but would prefer not to go alone (always use wisdom!). Maybe a couple of us can "tag team". ("One can chase 1K....two can chase 10K"!)
