Sunday, January 28,2024: Onsite praying and decreeing at Saguaro Lake and Stewart Mountain Dam and Roosevelt Lake and Theodore Roosevelt Dam. These are the “bookends” to what is known as the Salt River Project here in central Arizona.
Six of us met and began our journey Sunday afternoon by first praying at the Stewart Mountain Dam. This dam is located at the southern end of Lake Saguaro and is a concrete thin-arch dam built between 1928 and 1930. It stands 212 feet high and 583 feet long and is home to a 13,000-kilowatt (kW) hydroelectric generating unit.
The name Stewart is derived from the Scottish surname, itself derived from the job title for a steward or guardian of a manor house –
o We decreed this dam is a guardian to the waters flowing from the Salt River into the Phoenix valley. This dam guards the waters and keeps the waters of the Salt River safe.
o We decreed Psalm 127:1 Unless the LORD builds the house,They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, (this dam) The watchman stays awake in vain.
o We decreed Psalm 125:2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem (Arizona), So the LORD surrounds His people, From this time and forever
We also prayed fervently for the power supply that this dam generates and that it is guarded by the Lord and the angel armies. We prayed for the communications systems that control the water flow of this dam to be kept safe and not disrupted. We decreed that the water that is released from this dam is not stopped or contaminated by nefarious persons as it contiues its flow down the Salt River and into the canals for to be purified for our drinking water. We also prayed for law enforcement and those who work at this dam site to be be alerted should the enemy try to committ a terrorist act to breach this dam.
After finishing praying at the dam we drove around to the other side of the dam where we sat down along the shore of Saguaro Lake. We prayed and worshiped the Lord, thanking him for this beautiful body of water and all the life it provides for Arizona. Saguaro Lake is the last of the 4 reservoirs on the Salt River. As a prophetic act we threw salt into the water and proclaimed 2 Kings 2:19-22 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren. And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him. And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land. So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.
o We decreed the waters of the Salt River and Lake Saguaro are protected from any harm through terrorism by poisoning, or chemical or biological agents. The Salt River waters are healed and there shall not be any death or bareness caused by these waters to humans, agriculture and the marine life that live in these waters.
Next we drove 73 miles north to the Theodore Roosevelt Dam at Lake Roosevelt. Theodore Roosevelt Dam: Constructed in 1906. Completed in 1911. Roosevelt Dam was the tallest masonry dam in the world at 280 feet. It was dedicated by U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, for whom the dam and the reservoir are named.
The name Theodore means – Gift of God.
o We decreed that this lake and this dam are a gift of God to the state of Arizona.
o Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God;
o Saved in the Greek means sozo “to save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction.”
o We decreed that Arizona and the Salt River and Lake Roosevelt and the Theodore Roosevelt Dam, Apache Lake and the Horse Mesa Dam, Canyon Lake and the Mormon Flat Dam, Saguaro Lake and the Stewart Mountain Dan are sozo’d by the Lord. They are kept safe and sound. They are rescued from danger or destruction!!
o No weapons of destruction formed against these waterways will prosper. Isaiah 54:17
280 feet when first built. Strong’s # 280 in the Greek means: without measure, immense.
o Ephesians 1:19 and what is the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe, as displayed in the exercise of his immense strength. (NET)
o We decreed the immense strength of the Lord is holding back the works of darkness that would try to breach this dam.
In 1996, a massive expansion project aimed at increasing the capacity of the lake was finished. The dam was resurfaced with concrete and raised an additional 77 feet which had the effect of increasing the lake's capacity by over 20%, and providing much needed flood control space on the Salt River.
o Psalm 77:16 The waters saw You, O God; The waters saw You, they were in anguish; The deeps also trembled. 17.The clouds poured out water; The skies gave forth a sound; Your arrows went here and there. 18.The sound of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; The lightnings lit up the world; The earth trembled and shook. 19.Your way was in the sea. And Your paths in the mighty waters, But Your footprints were not known. 20.You led Your people like a flock By the hand of Moses and Aaron.
o Psalm 20:1-2 In times of trouble, may the LORD answer your cry. May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm. May he send you help from his sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem.
Psalms 20: 6-9 May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God.
May the LORD answer all your prayers. Now I know that the LORD rescues his anointed king.
He will answer him from his holy heaven and rescue him by his great power. Some nations boast of their chariots and horses,
but we boast in the name of the LORD our God. Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm.
Give victory to our king, O LORD! Answer our cry for help. (NLT)
We decreed the Lord is answering our cry for help to keep all the Salt River lakes and dam safe as well as all the waterways and dams in Arizona and our nation safe !!
As one of the ladies in our group was praying the Lord highlighted to her about the dam and it's importance as a wall and a gate to Arizona. She boldly proclaimed Psalm 60:18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise. We all rejoiced at this word the Lord gave her!
Amazingly when we first arrived at the viewing platform overlooking the dam we saw an eagle land across the river high up on the side of the mountain on a rock ledge. We were admiring and looking closely at this beautiful creature through the binoculars. When one of the men on our prayer team began to start praying in tongues the eagle flew off the rock ledge and was headed towards the face of the dam all of a sudden he made a swift right turn began to fly towards us. He flew right over our heads about 10 feet above us !! He then circled around behind us and then soared over the dam. We all felt like it was a sign from the Lord that he is hearing our prayers and he is protecting our nation. America Shall Be Saved !!
Many prayers, scriptures and other decrees were made at both dams including the decres that GH 15 provided. At each stop one our our prayer warriors read the 1811 originial Preamble to the Arizona Consitution:
We, the people of Arizona, grateful to the Supreme Being, for our liberties, in order to form a more independant, and perfect government, establish justice, insure domestic tranquilty, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the State of Arizona.
Lastly as we traveled on highway 188 to and from the Theodore Roosevelt Lake Dam we crossed over the Theodore Roosevelt Lake Bridge. This bridge a vehicular bridge traversing Theodore Roosevelt Lake between Gila County and Maricopa County, Arizona. Prior to its completion, traffic on Arizona SR 188 traveled directly on top of the Theodore Roosevelt Lake Dam. Per the United States Bureau of Reclamation, in 1995, the bridge was listed by the American Consulting Engineers Council as one of the top twelve bridge designs in the United States, and is the "longest two-lane, single-span, steel-arch bridge in North America". We decreed that all bridges over waterways, canyons, tunnels, freeways are safe in Arizona and protected by the Lord. As this bridge connects Maricopa and Gila counties the Lord highlighted the imporatnce of the joining of communites here in Arizona.
Our time together was filled with the presence of the Lord all afternoon. There was a tremendous flow of the Sprit to proclaim his word and prophetic decrees. We felt we had accomplished in the Spirit what he wanted us to fulfill on our assignment on Sunday. Arizona shall be saved!!

Great photos - thank you for sharing and praying!
Hi Amy,
Thank you for following Holy Spirit's leading for parying over these dams with your prayer warrior team!
Had a sense that you would be out praying again but didn't see post and missed texting you in time to join your team.
Please keep me posted if you are lead to pray over other waterways or even water treatment facilities in Fountain Hills or Scottsdale. Blessing and favor,
Roberta
