Finishing the Civil Rights Movement

The God of Providence is going to heal our nation from divisions, our strife, our wounds, and from our shedding of innocent blood. What was started in this nation many years ago in the civil rights movement was aborted and never reached its fullness. It will be finished in this season. A people that have felt disenfranchised and that they have no place here will find identity and destiny and will truly be healed.

“And yet it is a new Law that I am writing to you. It is truth. It was seen in Christ and it is seen in you also. The darkness is passing away and the true Light shines instead. Whoever says he is in the light but hates his brother is still in darkness.” (1 John 2:8-9; NLV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  1. Identificationally repent on behalf of this nation for its continued racial divide.

  2. Pray that the love of God will flow down upon those descendants of slavery who still experience a sense of disenfranchisement, lack of identity and destiny. Pray for the healing of their soul.

  3. Worship the Lord that He is completing the work of the Civil Rights movement that was left unfinished in the 1960s. Worship in faith over a healed nation and imagine what that will be like!

A prayer you can pray:

Dear Lord, forgive us as a nation for we continue to walk in racial division. It is no different in the Church than in the world. Forgive us. I pray that You would heal the deep wounds in those who are descended from former slaves who still carry the sorrow, lack of identity and sense of lost destiny. Restore, Lord, restore! I worship You, as You are the only one who is able to heal this, Father, through the precious blood of Jesus. Grant us grace for national racial wholeness and racial reconciliation in the United States of America. Make us one, even as You are one! In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Today’s decree:

The work of the Civil Rights Movement will be completed in our generation and America will be healed!
