Been waiting for a weather window to travel to Fort Peck Dam to pray. This is the largest body of water held back by a dam in Montana and the 5th largest artificial lake in the US. The reservoir is 383 square miles. Google says it is the largest hydraulically filled dam in the US. The dam is also notable in that it is the highest of six major dams along the Missouri River. It is 250 feet high. Wikipedia indicates a "what if" section, what would happen in the event of a Fort Peck Dam failure? Experts claim that a failure at Fort Peck could lead to a domino-like collapse of all five downstream dams on the way to St. Louis. ATTENTION! Everyone please pray in agreement with me that no weapon formed against Fort Peck Dam will prosper & every plot, ploy, attack or assigment of the enemy will be revealed and rendered null and void. We stand against the kingdom of darkness and shatter the teeth of the enemys plans to disrupt our water supply.
Fort Peck is very remote. It was a 10 hour round trip from my home in Great Falls and despite the length of time I was on the road, I passed less than 100 cars throughout the entire day. It was a beautiful day and I prayed and worshipped throughout most of the drive. I did pray and decree from the dam itself. I will say that God touched my heart in a special way by encouraging me with two eagle encounters. Isaiah 40:31 is a life verse for me and about an hour into the drive, I was questioning if I should be attempting the trip because the road report showed about 100 miles of snow/ice packed road. At that point I spotted a very large eagle flying beside me for about 10 seconds and then flew off in the direction I was travelling North and East, the general direction of Fort Peck Dam. The second encounter came 15 miles from the dam when the roads were at their worst and I was starting to lose heart and even considered turning around. This is when I spotted the largest bald eagle I've ever seen. It was beautiful and was sitting majestically atop some high ground, looking in the direction of the dam. I completed the mission, by driving across the dam and praying in tongues the entire time and then pulled over, despite the snow and no real access to a pullout. I prayed and decreed and then had to start the trek back home in order to be off the 100 miles of snow pack prior to dark. On the way out, the eagle was again perched majestically on the high ground. I was so touched and overcome, I stopped and intended to pray with the eagle and maybe get a pic, but it flew off as if telling me that the mission was complete and I needed to get back to safety. I couldn't stop thinking about the eagles and when I awoke this morning, my mind actually put together that it could indeed have been the same eagle in both sightings and wouldn't that be something??? The sunset was beautiful and the landscapes were stunning. I would I could have had all of you there with me, because it was so beautiful and I was totally in awe of God's majesty and His creation blanketed in snow. I've uploaded some pics for sharing.
Thank you for praying!! Agreeing with you!
