Completed waterways from Friday 1/26/24: Woodland Beach, Duck Creek, Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge, Leipsic River @ Rt 9, 1st Fishing Pier @ Port Mahon, Slaughter Beach. (Port Mahon needs some more attention) look for a more detailed report in a separate post.

Hi Anita, we weren't able to get to Lewis ferry before dark. Is it possible that your group from abundant life can hit those waters since you're down that way? if not, let me know. I'm planning another trip down to Sussex in the future.

Plan for Saturday the 27th will be to start at the covered bridge on Smith Bridge Rd praying over the Brandywine Creek where it flows into Delaware from Pennsylvania at 10 AM from there traveling to Hoopes reservoir. (Expect to be there by approximately 10:45 am) then on to the 7th street boat ramp where the Christiana River meets the Brandywine Creek and both flow in to the Delaware River. From there will go to the to the canal.

I'll map out route tonight and post tomorrow am in case there are others out there, who will be able to join us. Are you up for a few more locations? We could meet at woodland beach pier and work our way down 9 hitting the nature center pier, port Mahon pier, Slaughter beach and end down at Lewes ferry area.

Do you have a team? If not, let me know what time you're thinking of it would take me about an 1.5 hrs to get there, but I'm always up for a day at the beach in January!

Anyone available in NCC this weekend? I'm plotting a route from Thomason's bridge to Hoopes to 7th street boat ramp. If folks are interested, I'd be happy to head down to the canal as well. And for those of you who are interested in hitting the port, I'd be happy to submit a request for visitors passes.
